Craigvrack Hotel & Restaurant

We enjoyed the ambient atmosphere

Husband needed a wee bit more space round his bed

Staff completely unhelpful, left stranded with nowhere to stay because the hotel had not completed the booking, providing an accessible room, for my parents in the 90s. I had contacted the hotel at the time of booking, message had not been documented. Staff refused to try to resolve, basically said" nothing we can do" had to drive to next location 2 hours away, who luckily sorted out rooms for us to stay.

Disgraceful

The Craigvrack is positioned a short distance from the town but is up a steep hill so beware if you have mobility issues. The hotel prioritises it's Indian restaurant which is highly rated according to the locals we spoke to, and is, along with the Gin Bar, beautifully decorated. Our room was nice and clean but a bit uf 'dressing up' would improve it as it was a bit bland. Breakfast was nice and set us up for the day.

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME HERE AN I CERTAINTLY WILL RETURN THE STAFF WERE EXCELLANT NOTHING WAS A BOTHER THE OWNER EVEN THOUGH WE WERE NOT EATING OUR EVENING MEAL IN THE RESTAURANT HE OFFERED TO RUN US TO OUR BOOKING BUT WHEN WE RETURN WE WILL DEFINATELY BE EATING IN IT AS THE FOOD DID LOOK REALY GOOD

I THINK A FEW CHOICES OF DRINKS FOR PEOPLE WHO CANT TAKE ALCOHOL AND WHEN YOU BOOK MAKE IT INCLUSAVE FOR BREAKFAST NO ADDING ON LATER

Location good but since we were walking with luggage the walk uphill was rather arduous. Room was lively and beds comfortable. Restaurant supper was quite good. Dining staff was good

Customer service wasn’t a strong point. The owner was quite brusque and hurried. We had just come from a hotel where the desk staff were cheerful and very helpful. Perhaps this hotel is working on a different model. One of the salmon ladder workers was more informative and pleasant

Nice quiet spot, restaurant and bar on site, very nice staff and wonderful breakfast.

Bit of a tough climb up the stairs to third floor especially with suitcases.

Very satisfactory for the price. Our friend who is tall found the single bed a little small.

The hall carpets were a little tired. Rooms very clean, bathrooms worked well, generally very satisfactory.
