Zenia Hotel & Spa

A Saturday night cost 120 Euros. I canceled the reservation for the second night. Just couldn't stay another night. This is the most bizarre hotel I've ever stayed in. As others have said, it is in a shopping mall, which was very surprising upon arrival. When I booked on the website, it asked for my time of arrival and wouldn't allow anything before 15h00. I arrived at 15h45. There was no one there. Two phone numbers and an intercom system - no answer anywhere. There was a small sign posted next to the door that reception is open from 17h00 - 21h00. Seriously? What hotel doesn't have reception open and the building is locked?! Very weird. After 21h00 no one is even around if you have a question. I went to wash up for bed and there were NO TOWELS in the room. None. Not one. Again, is this a hotel? Don't hotels have towels in the room? And now there is no one to ask because reception is closed. Apparently, I was supposed to call the number that wasn't answered earlier at 23h00 to ask for a towel. Maybe they were all down in the spa? But I didn't go to the spa that night. Is this a hotel? Beyond that the furniture is very dated. I went to the bar to get a glass of wine - no wine. They have beer and drinks, but not wine. I didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. The main positive note is that the room and bedding were clean. The woman at check in was kind. (The other people I interacted with were not kind.) This 'hotel' should charge 50-60 Euros. What they are charging (90-120 Euros) is extremely overpriced for what you actually get.

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop on our route from Scotland to the south of France so we had no expectations. The hotel is in a retail park which is quite strange. The reception is also closed for several hours during the day so when we arrived we couldn’t get in initially. There was a number to phone but no one answered it. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. The rooms are a bit dated and could use updating however they were spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good. The AC worked very well. We used the spa on arrival which was absolutely lovely after a very long day of driving. The spa was clean and relaxing. I can’t comment on food as we didn’t have any during our stay. Overall, a nice overnight stop.

Just love this hotel. We have stayed here a number of times and the hotel just continues improving. The restaurant has been renovated and looks super the food is really good with a wide variety, they do have theme nights but still cater for all tastes. The rooms are clean and tidy and well maintained, no kettle or iron but all rooms have a free safe to use. The hotel is located on a headland overlooking the famous La Zenia beach which is just a short walk away. The staff are exceptional and really helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

An overnight stay for myself and my daughter, for the women’s World Cup match between England and Cameroon. We used the spa, although I found getting into the jacuzzi a little difficult as there was no step or hand rail, however the spa was clean and welcoming. The sauna was great and the small pool wonderfully refreshing. Rooms functional, clean and comfortable. Communal areas are clean and functional. This hotels BONUS has to be its staff. Note to the owner.....I’m not sure what the rate of pay is, but your staff are superb. Helpful, friendly and super efficient, tolerant and appropriate. I really hope you appreciate their HARD work, and that they are rewarded or it. Thank you.

Very nice restaurant,exellent service.The rooms has good beds and the cleaning held a very good standard.This is a hotel we certanly will return to.Good service in the reception. The swimmingpool area are very nice with different areas.

At first sight the hotel seems off putting. A narrow entrance above a shopping complex on the edge of Cambrai. Upstairs the hotel is entirely on one floor giving the whole place a strange rather quirky feel. But the welcome and service was excellent, the spa and pool a real treat (ask for the full towelling robe which is free). The bedroom was spacious and clean, breakfast good and staff very smiley If you are exploring the area - we were discovering WW1 sites - the edge of town location is excellent and the parking is free.

we needed a hotel to fit 2 adults, 2 children and 2 grand parents from visiting the war memorials after trying to find some where that had a pool and this ticked the boxes. I can see why people have left negative comments about needing an refresh but actually the place was fine, and i have staying in much worse. The surprise is that its above a retail park and the choice of alternative eateries was a bit slim. The bar didn't have a big choice of wine; but a good stop over.

The hotel is based in a retail park, it is dirty and is in a state of disrepair. To call it a spa is ridiculous, it has a small swimming pool and 3 hot tubs side by side (only 1 works but was too cold to stay in). Our room wasn’t made up when we arrived so we were moved to another. That had congealed “something” in the sink and I had 6 dead beetles under my pillow (a wonderful surprise). Overall a really disappointing visit and I hope never to be back...

50 ex army men stayed at this hotel [ warehouse ] who had come on a trip for the 100th anniversary of the first tank battle of the Somme at Thiepval most of them ex 1R.T.R. as was my son and the rest were ex R.C.T.or R.L.C there to watch the parade and take part in the march pass I must admit that I have no liking for the French and I have not changed my mind as this hotel which is on a retail park way out of town is more like a warehouse with small rooms off it breakfast was worse than Yepes and there was not a egg in sign just crap food and no cafes or food shops near the view of the factorys was nice if you could over the roof the price was 94 euros a night again ripped off by the frogs will be happy when out of Europe don't like onions too
