Rockwood Manor is a beautiful bed-and-breakfast chocked full of history and family memorabilia. our room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The public areas were replete with antiques, maps and books all charting the rich family history. Our hosts were friendly and more than happy to share the history of the house and family. We stayed for the Purdue vs. Va Tech football game. Blacksburg was an easy 30 minute drive. A perfect location if you want to get away from the game-weekend crowds.

Contactless but easy access. Breakfast was great and host (Chrisy) was exceptional! House inside was amazing. 17 rooms, 18,000 square feet of history! Will return!

We loved our stay. The house is beautiful and the owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Chrissy made us an excellent breakfast! It is out in the country side and so peaceful. We saw a deer walk right by the house as we enjoyed our wine on the front porch rocking chairs. It was the highlight of our vacation. My husband especially enjoyed the architecture of this historic house.

The setting was beautiful. It was easy to find yet from the house all you could see was beautiful gardens and fields. It was quiet and restful.

"Victorian Charm with Southern Hospitality"

Overall a great experience. The room was large and beautifully furnished with antiques. The owner Frank was a fixture at breakfast and offered tips on local sites as well as the history of the manor. We’ll definitely return for a visit when we head back to Va Tech to visit our daughter.
