Ramada by Wyndham Cold Lake

I love that it’s pet friendly and the room we got had the jacuzzi tub and a kitchenette which was great :) I lowered the stars for a few reasons 1. The night I checked in I called to say that I would be there around 12:30 –1 a.m. and it was a late check-in. When I showed up at 1;04am when we went to check in she told us that she had just cancelled the reservations for the night and no one told her that we were coming late. Luckily she was able to save my reservation that I had for two night. 2. Love the idea of the Jacuzzi, but unfortunately ours was missing some of the grout in the edging for the tiles so my husband walked past the Jacuzzi and the metal rail(edging) was sticking out a bit and he gashed his knee open. 3. The Jacuzzi tub was in the main area and in the bathroom there was still a full bath and shower. The drain in the shower was not draining properly so it just kept filling up with water when I wanted to shower so I had to shove something in the drain in order to keep the plug from sucking in. 4. Lastly, the continental breakfast was honestly just so so, a lot of carbs and nothing really memorable.

No room service, we stayed three days, they say it’s to save energy but hotels have certainly changed. We requested fresh towels on third day and while they did bring 2 new towels, couldn’t be bothered to wipe the bathroom counter or anything. They could still have housekeeping make beds and that doesn’t require extra water/energy.

Staffs were accommodating

The suite with kitchette of that price was awesome. We will there next year for more day as we extended it to one day. Expedia team Thank you.

Alex at the front desk at check in was a pleasure to be greeted with. He made sure we had a room that met all of our requests even though it had not been booked correctly by the reservation agent. The room was a great size, and had a very comfortable bed. Downsides: The "breakfast", not sure I call microwaved lunch meat and store bought hard boiled eggs a breakfast, the "bread products" were all stale and inedible, no coffee, no juice, no water even available, the pancake machine was clearly needing service and not working, no worthwhile cereal selections and even if there was there was no milk. The pillows could be firmer (but thats a problem i find in every hotel it seems). The climate control unit was not consistent in its function. Bathroom size could be bigger, not sure why hotels all have the same trend of having the bathroom so small that the door literally touches the toilet when closing the door but again its like that in every hotel, gotta say was disappointed to see it given the size of the room. Decor was a bit dated and the rugs and furniture could use a good steam clean.

The room was nice and all the staff are very friendly. The food is delicious . It was very nice and quiet place to stay .. 👌✌️😊
