Floreat Riverside Lodge and Spa

We arrive around 2 and the cleaners were still busy cleaning the room. Only checkin at 3. The room was not properly cleaned, had some spiderweb and dust. The toilet had a bad smell. All the bed were uncomfortable and made noise. The TV was playing for the entire weekend.

Location was great and could be picturesque. Rebecca and Walter took great care of us and were so welcoming. The food was great, a good variety and served in large quantities on a terrific veranda.

The lodge needs maintenance in its public areas and rooms. Infrastructure of 4 rooms sharing a geyser (our first room had no hot water) is not workable. The layout means one is also subject to noisy neighbours. Our booking for the spa was noted on our guest sheet but the booking was not made with the therapist.

Braai stand was okay, staff was friendly.

The rooms were dirty, door locks don't work. Workers don't have tools, I was locked in the toilet because of faulty locks, we had to break the door so that I could get out.
