ULTIQA Shearwater Resort

This was a great stay, room was modern enough kids loved the spa and pool. Breakfast included was beyond expectations. Italian restaurant down stars was fresh, authentic and good family price. We will be back.

Always a pleasure to stay here. The views are spectacular and everything you need is close by. So many amazing beach walks too.

Complementary Breakfast did not include tea or coffee. Not the norm in Australia!!

Everything was great except 2 things. 1) The hair dryer in the bathroom had serious damage and exposed wires which sparked and was located next to the sink. Serious safety issue that could have resulted in an injury. These should be checked prior to allowing guests entry and any safety issues resolved. Would assume some type of cleaning check list with a call to maintenance to resolve any outstanding issues. I advised the front desk who had the issue resolved but could have resulted in an electric shock. 2) TV remote was not present and could not use the TV for a day/night.

Hi the stay was really good, the staff were lovely and we loved the complimentary breaky also, easy access( our lock on the door ran out of battery at one stage so we had to get the battery changed and lucky this did not happen late at night) the dor also was not locking properly either. The kids loved the game room and pool. The location was just in the most perfect spot as everything was walking distance to the shops/beach/parks etc, . Where we stayed we didn’t really like how we had to also share our back area with our neighbour. It felt like we had no privacy and I have never stayed at a place like that before and having kids it’s a bit hard to keep them quiet when all they want to do is be kids and play outside. My partner even walked out and was on the phone at one stage and the person next to us was extremely rude and told him to be quiet and waved him away, so it made us not want to go outside at all. There also wasn’t enough towels provided and the fans and drains did not work in the bathroom or toilet and when you have kids that’s kind of a big must as both get used quite a lot.

Amazing place to stay, staff friendly, place clean and so close to the beach along with restaurants and take out options. Parklands across the road and such a nice area and not too busy

Location is unbeatable - amazing views and walking distance to shops etc. Amenities and proximity to dining options is optimal. Checkin was less than satisfactory, room wasn’t as ordered (not the extra bedding ordered, lady on desk was rude - understand was fully booked and public holiday but paid a lot and shouldn’t be treated so terribly, assume some of rental was paid to staff to work on public holiday). Dishes with visible crud, so had to wash all dishes, Aircon in bedroom didn’t work (only heated - googled model and is a heating unit - unnecessary in QLD), carpet in bedroom was wet on entry and room smelt mouldy. Dishwasher kept sending out alarm at 3 am so as long weekend only option was my option of disconnecting.

We loved the service and the apartment. Excellent front room service, with a warm smile.

Fantastic Been here a few times now snd love the location, view, room and the staff. Breakfast is excellent.
