Meticulously maintained by the very friendly staff. Breakfast had a generous amount of food with eggs etc made to order if desired. Located in the best part of town, in front of the plaza and only a few streets from the entrance of the town. Rooms were cleaned every day with a change of towels.

I found the mattress quite hard but this is based on my personal preference. Pillows are a it lumpy.

A little dated not really a three star hotel.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hospedería de los Parajes is an absolute gem in the heart of La Guardia. We spent two wonderful nights here, and our room — which faced the exterior courtyard — was bright, spacious, and full of charm. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and full of character. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Diego, who went above and beyond with fantastic local recommendations, including directing us to some truly unique wineries in the area that we never would have found on our own. The hotel restaurant was a highlight in itself — a delicious menu paired with an impressive wine list. And if you get the chance, don't miss a glass of wine in the cellar. It's a magical experience. La Guardia is a stunning medieval village with spectacular views over the Rioja region. A quick note for first-time visitors: parking is only available outside the village walls, so expect a bit of an uphill walk to reach the hotel. That said, the trade-off is a village completely free of traffic — peaceful and utterly charming. This will absolutely be our home base for future trips to Rioja.
