Holiday Inn Beijing Focus Square by IHG

Hotel was very clean and spacious with its very beautiful view at 32nd floor. The bathtub was huge! Room was cleaned promptly everyday. Room service was prompt on the phone call. Service at the lobby was awesome!

Everything you expect from Holiday Inn. They do all the basics well and the price is good too. Location is a little out of the city but easy enough to get taxi

The Holiday Inn Focus Square is a very solid and comfy hotel for a couple of nights. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great, even better than in some 5* places we've been. Rooms are spacious, quiet and comfy, although lacking a bit of detail cleanliness ( water stains on the drawers in the bathroom, wear on furniture in desk area). Location is close to a shopping mall. Metro and 798 arts district are a 10' resp. 20' walk away. Metro does not go to the airport, you will need a taxi (around 80 RMB). Minibar prices are reasonable , beer 18RMB. As an IHG member I enjoyed a free welcome drink, which was nice. Would come here again when in Wangjing area.

Bad, location for being dropped off or picked up is kinda funky. It's also a bit of 10 minute walk to the subway. Good: Executive Breakfast is really eatable. Starbux is in the building, and the swimming pool is good. Nice Holiday INN

Hotel room was very clean and spacious with great views but hot and dry. Could not get anyone to help with thermostat. Staff english was very limited and pretty rude. Welcome drinks was a very nice touch. Lots of good little eating spots within a short walk and a couple of good coffee shops right at the base of the hotel.

This hotel bills itself as mid-scale, but it's much better than that: very solid four stars by any international standard. The room is efficient and everything works (nice views, too, since the guest rooms are on the highest floors); even WiFi is relatively good by Chinese standards. Breakfast is superior, with lots of hot and cold choices in a big airy dining space. I stayed here for seven nights and really appreciated the shopping mall right next door, since there's a convenient grocery store in the basement. There's also two coffee shops right in the complex: Starbucks behind the hotel (there's actually a back entrance in the lobby) and 8KM Coffee right outside. The latter has a lot of brunch options too. Not an ideal area for tourists, since it will take a while to get downtown, but a great choice if business brings you to the Wangjing area.

Restaurants were no. No clock and the thermostat did not work properly

Nice rooms, nice lobby, reasonably helpful front desk staff although English is limited. Great shuttle to nearby offices at 8:00 and 8:30am. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the views were fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to people visiting the CBC office.

I loved the breakfast buffet. It was amazing lots to choose from and stuff is very friendly.

Stayed here for two nights, nice hotel, staff speaks english which is really helpful in China. It is not very close to the centre of beijing where places like wangfujing and sanlitun are but its closer to the airport. Room was good, wifi was a bit weak but overall good experience.
