Amazing location Good breakfast,restaurant and pub

Wonderful place with great food and drinks! Located next to a cliff for rock climbing, has great Sunday roast and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic everything was perfect

We had a warm welcome from the staff who were very helpful throughout our stay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and our breakfast very good.

Overall give it 8/10 nothing exceptional but nothing poor either ,good breakfast,

Independent well run country pub with fab rooms and good honest bar food. Nice selection of wines a d beers, staff had a understanding of the local real ales that would put a full on camera bar to shame.

We just stayed 1 night in order to attend a friend's birthday event nearby. The room was spacious and had all we needed. The only downside (which we were warned about by the proprietor) was that the cold tap in the bath runs on very low pressure - so running a bath took a very long time. Also the design of the bath would have been quite difficult for anyone with mobility problems to climb into. Everything else was fine and the breakfast was delicious. The location is great for walking in the Dales. It is right on a road but very quiet.

What a delight to see the new owners since 2019 have put the pub back to a welcoming Yorkshire pub with high standards of cleanliness & service. The breakfast had everything you expect, fruit ,yoghurt, croissants, smoked salmon and full English. I been going to this pub for many years and seen it’s rise and falls , it has definitely risen to a high, I would throughly recommend.

I liked the helpful staff, views, bathroom and bed. I didn't like the heating system coming on at 6am, it was noisy and made the room too hot.

Decorated lovely, clean with a comfy bed and great choice for breakfast fit for a king.
