"Lovely hotel"

10.0

We loved our stay at this hotel! Beautiful room, friendly staff, and great breakfast. The only drawback was the weak WiFi signal which made planning our time in the Dales difficult. Highly recommended!

"Good"

6.0

The hotel has a great location, a good restaurant, and friendly helpful staff. BUT the new management has a lot to refurbish to bring the hotel up to a decent standard. In our room, no wi-fi connection, no bed-side table on one side, no shaver socket or decent in the bathroom, no working valve on the radiator in the bedroom, also very thin walls so that we heard (an)other room(s). The public ares need to be redecorated and reaccepted.

"Exceptional"

10.0

We stayed at the Tennant arms on the 2nd July 2016 and loved everything about it. We had hired a classic car from Keighley for the day and this hotel came up when we were looking for accommodation near Skipton. It's not really near Skipton but it's a great location for walkers or anyone touring the Dales. We especially liked the up-grade to the suite with the 4 poster bed. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed our meals there and loved the location. We would visit again without any hesitation.

"Fabulous scenery, food and service."

10.0

Very welcoming friendly staff who made you feel at home. The food was superb both at dinner and breakfast. The Dales Breakfast was huge and everything of excellent quality. Hotel has brand new owners who are trying really hard and deserve to be successful. We hope to stay there again. The location is beautiful. The garden has wonderful views.

"Warm welcome, dog friendly and good food"

10.0

We stayed in the Crag view room with our two children who's twin beds were in a second room. We also had our dog with us and we all, including the dog were given the warmest of welcomes. We ate in the pub both nights we stayed and the food was great. Breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed full fried breakfasts both mornings. We would definitely stay again.

"FANTASTIC WEEKEND"

10.0

Stayed for two nights with friends, the rooms were lovely, clean and modern did take a while to work out temp on shower but mastered it by second day, the only problem we had was the noise that came from the boiler when the heating came on, it woke us up both mornings early as it made a loud banging noise but only lasted a couple of minutes. we all eat in the restaurant both evenings and the food is FANTASTIC, congrats to the chef, all staff were very friendly would do anything for you, the breakfast was tasty and very filling also cooked fresh no buffet style breakfast here. if you are walkers it is well placed for some lovely walks right on the doorstep.I will recommend the tennants inn to all my friends and family as we had a fantastic weekend and will be returning next year.

"Weekend walking"

6.0

Great location for walking in the Dales. Paid extra for a Crag View room, had to hang out the window to see the Crag. Was the room worth £107 a night. No. Room was cold and had no heating on, had to ask at the bar to activate the radiator, not a good start. Service in the bar was good and the food was very enjoyable, although the waitress could have been a bit more attentive. It is usual for a server to ask if everything was OK but none of that was forthcoming. On the whole it was a reasonable stay but I think the cost of the room was on the expensive side. The Dales do command a high price but this should not be taken for granted and I think the Tennants Arms owners should look at the service and the facilities they provide and make a greater effort to justify their prices.

"OK, but..."

6.0

Spacious room and comfortable bed, but not well appointed (no hairdryer, for example, though one was available from reception). Unfortunately faulty plumbing made the room unacceptably noisy (mysterious banging the other side of the bedroom wall at 10-minute intervals). Dinner was fine, breakfast disappointing. A good buffet breakfast would have been a major improvement.
