"Good pub/hotel in Yorkshire Dales"

6.0

Stayed 3 nights and ate breakfast and dinner there. Food very good, but limited choice of 'Dish of the day'. Full Yorkshire breakfast excellent. Friendly barman and Manager. No problem taking our well behaved Labrador.

"Beautiful countryside location."

8.0

Situated in a quiet countryside village. The hotel is well run. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very filling and plenty of choice to suit most people. Evening menu although limited was well cooked and very tasty. An excellent place to stay for visiting the surrounding area either walking or driving.

The Tennants Arms is a little tired now & in need of re-decoration. Staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. Food was good. Great cooked breakfast.

"Tennant Arms"

8.0

We booked through Expedia and it couldn't have been easier. When we arrived we had already paid so it was just plain and simple. The staff greeted us immediately, he was very friendly, polite and efficient. We were showed straight to our room which was very big clean and newly decorated, The bathroom was excellent. We had an evening meal which was freshly cooked and very tasty. Breakfast was very good, it consisted of cereals and a full English breakfast. The price for 1 night was a bit expensive but it was Easter. This is a very old building which in parts could do with a bit if TLC, but this is to be expected in an old building. It is in an exceptional location.

"cold radiators on a very cold day! Excellent food"

6.0

My husband and myself arrived at the hotel frozen after a day at the Grassington Dickensian Christmas market only to find the radiators in our room cold, and the bathroom the same. Because the bathroom floor has ceramic tiles it was especially cold in there!! We did complain and they were on when we returned after our evening meal, but the room was still chilly. There appeared to be a shortage of staff and lack of communication and team work between them. We asked for the menu when we went down for an evening meal and told the chap behind the bar (only one there) what we would like but over one and half hours later we noticed meals being served to others, when we asked where ours was we were asked "have you ordered?" We pressumed we had, and had not been told to see the waitress to order (again only one) on quite a busy evening. We were having to rush back on Sunday morning so were up early and ready for our breakfast but the breakfast room was not ready and not a sole around! It appeared the breakfast staff (person) had not turned up so one poor soul had to rush around apologising profusely to everyone and prepare the tables and serve the breakfast (16 or so people were in the breakfast room whilst we were there!) Full credit to the lad he was polite and stayed calm and did handle the situation well. The food was excellent both in the evening and breakfast - no complaints there !!
