"Room with a fabulous view"

10.0

The setting is beautifully picturesque and we got the king size room with a great view. Huge luxurious bathroom with a large free standing bath, fluffy towels, double shower, and all very clean. There were a few of the inset spotlights not working but tbh, it would have been too bright with them all on. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable, king size, four poster bed, two armchairs and plenty of storage space. The bar manager was friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to stay. If you want faceless modern chain hotels though, it's not for you.

"Bank holiday night away "

10.0

We stayed in the Pen-y-Ghent room - everything about it was great. Large bed, large bathroom, very spacious room. The family who run the pub/b&b couldn’t do more for you. They kept the kitchen open a little later than usual on a Sunday as we arrived later than expected and the food they served was lovely. I was hesitant booking a room here at first due to the bad reviews, but these were for when a different owner ran the place, which was very clear to see when we arrived. I look forward to staying here again.

"great for walkers"

6.0

Great location and lovely food, but the hotel is undergoing refurbishment and our 'luxury' room was definitely in need of some refurbishment and a good clean.

"Local Hotel and Pub, nicely situated"

10.0

Lovely pub/hotel about 11 miles out of Skipton. On main country road with views across the Dales. Ample parking, friendly and helpful staff and good atmosphere in the pub and restaurant on the day we stayed. Hotel room was what we expected from an old building, medium size, compact shower room, window seat and view of the Dales. Room and bathroom well stocked for tea, coffee, chocolate, toiletries etc. Take your own hair dryer. TV and Wfi signal patchy, but would expect that in the Dales. Ate in the pub on the night and whilst choice was not wide, both meals were lovely. Breakfast was also good in the morning,,with everything hot or cold, you would want. Also had an enjoyable day in Skipton at the Sat market and Skipton Castle is worth a visit. Would recommend and would stay again.

"Perfect location hotel and pub/restaurant"

8.0

Great location. Great staff. Very good food and beer. Couldn't have been better. It is a country pub and hotel so expect it to be a country pub and you will not be disappointed.

"A great gateway to the Yorkshire Dales."

8.0

A short break to get out into the hills and be able to relax at the en of the day. The hotel was brilliant. The service was very friendly and helpful, the meals were well prepared and tasty, the room was large and comfortable. There are signs suggesting refurbishment of some areas, but these are cosmetic changes and don't impact on anyone's stay.
