"Repetitive food overall good not excellent"

We stayed at this resort for a week. They kindly upgraded us to a suite, which we had not booked, this was a nice gesture. However, the suite did not have the view we originally wanted. We had booked a deluxe room with a sea view, which overlooks the resort and pool with the sea at the end. Although the suite was larger, the view was not as beautiful. That said, we didn’t mind too much and continued our stay. Overall, the staff were friendly, except for an incident I experienced on Sunday which ruined my evening (5th April) during dinner time. Dinner hours are very busy, and we could not find a table. Eventually, we sat at a used table where dirty glasses were still left. I approached a staff member (photo attached) and politely asked if he could provide cutlery and clean the table. He responded aggressively in Turkish to his colleague and then said to me, ā€œI am not Supermanā€¦ā€ before adding that he would come shortly. I was quite shocked, especially as other guests were watching. It felt disrespectful, and honestly, I believe he might not have behaved that way if I were white. He never returned, so we had to collect cutlery ourselves. When we had almost finished eating, he came back to clear the glasses and casually asked if everything was okay. Regarding the buffet, the food was quite repetitive. Most dishes were similar each day, with bland flavours and little variety. Many items, such as the meatballs, were a mix of lamb and beef. As we do not eat beef, this limited our options significantly. During our 14 meals, we only had lamb roast once; otherwise, the menu remained largely the same. This was not what we expected when visiting Turkey. On a positive note, the pool temperature and gym facilities were good. However, the available games and activities were limited and often fully occupied. Overall, I would rate this resort as a 4-star rather than a 5-star experience.

"1/3 of the resort is a building site!"

Our Rixos Tekirova stay 2nd-9th April 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 & 7 The bad and the very bad - A third of the resort is a building site!!! The resort shouldn’t be open yet, clearly building work had not been finished, and nowhere on Tui’s or Rixos website is this mentioned, diggers, huge piles of sand, bricks, mess and builders everywhere, food court not even finished yet the website has an AI generated image of it complete!! - The pool was filthy with yellow murky water the first 3 days )probably from the building work) it is clean now but they spent a few days filtering it and letting people swim in it whilst doing this. - One of the things that appealed to us about this hotel was the onsite waterpark- suprise suprise this was closed due to building work, they only opened the younger kids one 2 days before we left and it was only open from 12-3.30, they told us for a few days it was closed due to the weather and yes the first 2 days were rainy but after that the weather was beautiful and it still didn’t open- we could clearly see it was due to building work on it that clearly hadn’t been finished in time. They tried to block it off but you could see clearly. - We chose this hotel based on its 10 appealing restaurants, only 3 plus the buffet restaurant were open, and to book any of the 3 restaurants you had to go on an app and book by 10qm which we did every day and by 10.02 everything was booked up, therefore every night we had to ate at the buffet restaurant, it was fine (food not 5 star though) and a bit boring after 3 days let alone 6 lunches and dinners!! Tui’s website says subject to time of year but there’s nothing mentioned on the Rixos website about restaurants not being open. - Communication was awful, I emailed about a few things before our stay and had to chase after a week to get a response, when you get there they tell you to use and app call Lumin but no one actually responds on it and we ended up having to call using the phone from our room, we complained about not being able to book a restaurant whilst there and they did nothing. The good - The villas are beautiful, luxurious and clean, we knew the swim up pool it had wouldn’t be heated which was fine as part of the main pool is heated, high summer would be fine though. - fresh towels morning and evening and free mini bars both restocked daily - Sports program was great and no need to book up front for the majority of activities, the sports area overlooks the sea which was beautiful - The Rixy kids club was by far the best we’ve seen, brand new and it was due to be finished the 1st April, which they did seem to almost meet, it was open to use but small building work was going on around the kids playing which wasn’t really a problem. Staff there were incredible and you can either stay with the kids or drop them for a bit. They have lots of activities and not all needed to be booked in advance, my kids made wooden cars and clay vases that they could bring home. - the spa is lovely and they have a nice indoor pool, we booked a couples massage and the room and treatment was lovely. - The hotel has a patisserie which is really cool, nice cakes, tea and ice cream- open most of the day and evening. - You can get a drink very easily anywhere and the bar staff at the pool area were extremely attentive and polite, they wore roller skates which the kids found fun! - Everything is kept very clean apart from the above comments regarding building work. The beach area was messy around the building work - You get free entry to the ā€˜land of legends’ theme park and a couple of days a week a free coach goes there however it took about 90mins there and over 2 hours to return, but once there it was great and you get free towel use being Rixos residents. Overall our holiday was probably a 5/10 huge potential but totally let down by restaurants not open or impossible to book and poor communication. We also made a the above complaint during our holiday with a Tui rep who was just very defensive and didn’t even ask to take our details and then when we emailed a complaint on the Tui app they closed the case without replying to us, safe to say this is the first and last time we book a holiday through Tui.

"I believe that the dream team for this hotel has been created"

We did a family trip within the scope of a spring holiday between 27th and 31th of March at Rixos premium Tekirova. It was a great holiday full of surprises and good moments which I will summarize them in categories below: One day prior to the arrival I was added to a whatsapp group by the guest relations office of the hotel. This was a surprise for me that the hotel cares my preparation and pre arrival issues for my trip and I could start already communication regarding our holiday with the guest relations office which was very valuable for me. After getting some useful info about the hotel we started our trip towards the hotel the next day. Rixos tekirova is located in an exceptional location of Antalya below Tahtalı Mountain which you can always feel the winter and see the peak of the mountain seems like to have a white hat and while looking at the snow at the top of the mountain you have the privilige to swim in the heated pool in the Middle of March. Hotel has a very warm and friendly atmosphere including guest from all around the world. I could guess that from several locations tourists have been gathered to enjoy their holiday. But I think the majority of the hotel guests were belonging to Russian speaking countries or Baltic Area. Before describing rooms quality lets talk about the first impression at the hotel which always belong to the front office. The hotel has a very helpful and friendly front office who try to do your check in within the shortest time with assistance of your guest relations staff. From the first minute they tried to do the procedure very quickly and easy. There is no need to rush to wait in the reception desk since you can have your tea or coffee at the lobby bar while front desk is arranging your room. We stayed in a family room which included two seperate rooms each including its toilet and Bathroom. Rooms were spacious and clean both having a nice balcony looking at the sea and the mountain in front of it. Room facilities were enough including tea and coffee machines specially for guests who love capsule coffees. Minibar of the hotel was filled with daily beverages including Efes Beer. There were enough towels at the room but we had to ask for two more bathrobes for the second room. Acoustic of the rooms were perfect and we did not hear any noise from the neighbors. Hotel area has a lot of amenities including several bars and coffee shops and pattiseries. There is a starbucks at the seaside of the hotel serving different kinds of cold and hot beverages but the problem with the starbucks is the long line and huge waiting time for a single cup of coffee or tea. Therefore from the second day I did not use it due to the waste of time. I think hotel management can help the speed of service at this area better. Bars of the hotel at several locations of the facility were perfect serving various types of local and import alchoholic and non alchoholic drinks. You can find almost all famous brands for your beverages there. Moreover the sweets or nuts coming with these beverages give another beautiful taste to their servings. Vista bar at the sea side is perfect also serving Turkish coffee and different beverages. Thanks for the F and B Manager, who I saw him a lot of times at the restaurant and public areas but I didnt read his name on the card. Restaurants of the hotel had a delicious food serving variety of food specially seafood and red meat which you can rarely find good ones in many hotels. We tried Fish A la carte restaurant in a rainy day which was located outside the main building. Firstly thanks to the buggy guys who took us in that rainy day to the restaurant with the buggy and later we had a great meal inside. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so friendly and lovely. Buggy guys helped us to go back to the hotel the same way we had gone due to the heavy rain. Fish was perfect and Mezes and appetizers were incredible. Thanks for the management of Mermaid restaurant. Spa of the hotel was perfect consisting of several parts. There were 2 different dry saunas with different heat degrees. One Steam room and a nice Turkish bath. Despite a lot of guests there you could find enough space and towels and facilities for your rest. The only negative thing about the SPA area was the swimming pool which had a heavy smell of CL for cleaning the water. I think that smell was more than enough despite this material is necessary for cleaning the pool water. From the entrance of the hotel you could feel this heavy smell. Lifeguards were very attentive and helpful. The hotel had a nice heated pool outside giving you the chance to be able to swim in the middle of March outside. The water was not cold and well adjusted having a very nice bar beside serving you beverages. Sports bar and lobby bar were the locations which you could spend time at nights. Specially there were nice live bands every night in the sports bar performing different types of music, at the same time bar team of the sports bar serving you by doing nice shows playing with bottles and try to entertain you. I think that entertainment team of the hotel needs to be more pro active. Except some dart games and some actions at the sports bar I did not feel their presence inside the hotel. This should be improved. Animation team can greet guests at the entrance of the main restaurant every night and try to introduce the night show to them and invite them to join the party. This did not happen at all. As the last point I want to express a very important sentence : I believe that the dream team for this hotel in many positions has been created. From the guest relations to the people working at the bars, from the F and B managers to the staff working in main restaurants, all and all are doing their best to make your holiday better and make you feel different. It is very difficult for hotels to have a dream team but Rixos Tekirova now has it. Special thanks to the guest relations office Ms Merve Ƈetin and Yağmur and Chief Ƈağrı. "Good hotel apart from food quality."

Let's start by saying we booked with Tui and was sure we had booked the Rixos in Belek , and once here Tui wanted another £3000 to change the hotel when the difference in holiday price was just £200!! Must have been my error as I had not realised there was 2 Rixos Premier in Antalya. The journey was a good hour and half and after an early flight (6am) we made it to the hotel at about 5pm. THE GOOD We had a family suite and the room had two bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and fantastic sea views. To be fair it was excellent and gave us and the children some privacy. The hotel itself is huge and has something for everyone , especially the children. The kids centre is new , with a play centre room, arts and crafts, climbing centre and outside is kids football pitches. Climbing walls and a water park (although this was closed at the beginning of April!) The service was excellent in the restaurants and the bars. They have a heated swimming pool both inside and outside , which was needed given the weather. They have a Starbucks, great ice cream parlour. Hairdressers, shops and so many different bars. The sunbeds around the pool are superb and really comfortable. THE BAD The quality of food ranged from being edible to being damn right awful. They have one restaurant which is called Turquoise and that is a buffet. Plenty of choice and variety, however, it was warm at best. You have to download the Lumi app to book the A la Carte. It opens daily at 10am and if you have not booked by 10.05 hard luck! We had a meal in the Italian and to say it was awful would be an understatement. Entrecote steak " it come as it comes no medium or rare!" It was so tough it was inedible so we left it and headed back to buffet. The food was at best an average 3 star definitely not 5 star. There was also a lot that was not open and there was a lot of work going on getting it ready for the summer season. I am sure that it will look awesome when it is all open. We went on a trip to Antalya with Tui , £10 and the guide was superb and it was a great experience. Summary Its a good hotel, never 5 star (mainly because of the food) but good nonetheless plenty for kids of all ages to do and during the summer I am sure it would be better still. Will we return ? Probably not! But we would give the Belek Rixos a try. Its clean and very well maintained.

"Excellent All Inclusive Resort- Best family retreat."

What an amazing and wonderful time we spent here for a week. All the staff from restaurant to Cafe to cleaning staff , to the brand new and well equiped Rixy kids club and open bar area was simply amazing and all thr staff always had a smile on their faces. Such a hard working and pleasant staff. Beside our two dedicated holiday assistants ,Yagmur and Merva made our stay so much comfortable with their within mins response and taking care of any bookings or other support by simply a whatsapp dedicated group message. The Lumin AI assistant was an additonal great support and amazingly always upto date for daily activities. Ramzan and Vidat in Torquoise restaurant were so helpful and ensured the kids are happy. The All inclusive concept at this resort is at a different level and they have spread it so nicely all across the resort that something is always available for food, snacks, ice cream, coffee and alot more. They have excellent activities daily both for adults and kids, we loved the mountain bike around the mountain and fields with good quality bikes. The beach was clean and well maintained. Noise free rooms. Peaceful atmosphere. Excellent value for money. All the credit goes to the hard working staff who work tirelessly to make everyone happy. Highly recommended, an excellent well maintained resort. Don't forget to go to Olympus which is mins away from the resort and in few mins you can enjoy snow and ice from the warm Mediterranean sea, sea to sky in mins.
