Hotel Boutique Quinta Chanabnal

The rooms/cabin were very comfortable and spacious. We had a large bathroom, there was a fridge and safe. There was efficient Air Con and fans which was needed as it was very hot. The eating area was very quiet and pleasant. As there are no restaurants nearby we ate in the hotel and the food was very good. We were very well looked after by the staff. There is a very nice pool area by the lake at the back of the hotel gardens which are a very pretty. We visited the nearby zoo which frankly was a sad experience. It is not recommended to drink tap water so supplies of bottled water are necessary. The nearest shop is about 20 minutes walk from the hotel.

The garden and pools of this hotel are amazing. The entire complex is like a Mayan town in the jungle. The garden is huge. Pictures don’t do it justice. The pools (multiple) are cooled and so relaxing. We saw many rare birds, howler monkeys and a crocodile from the garden and pool. Room was very large and clean. Restaurantje was amazing. It can look kind of tacky based on the pictures, but in reality this hotel is very beautiful. I’m glad we spent two nights here, we decided to spend an entire afternoon at the pool here because it was so nice.

This little Boutique Hotel with only 8 rooms in Palenque, Mexico, TOTALLY deserves its 5 star rating… Very lovely, welcoming and helpful staff - oops, YES: we NEEDED their help with some electronic equipments (we felt SO STUPID !) - but for all the rest: SUPER ! The concept and design of the Hotel reminds a Mayan Temple with private gardens and private swimming pool… Rooms and suites: Well equipped and comfortable. - Service: Thank you for all that kindness and almost immediate responses… - Food: DELICIOUS ! Ifever in Palenque: STAY THERE - YOU WON‘T REGRET !

The hotel is really well kept and the staff & maintenance is amazing! Our dietary restrictions were well taken care of & the food itself was really tasty, which was hard to get as vegetarians in the region. The rooms also were really spacious and amazing, and made you want to spend time in them. However, would have to say that the hotel is on the more expensive side in general.

Highly recommend booking this incredible hotel with only 8 rooms while in Palenque. The staff is lovely, the rooms are big and very comfortable. The big plus is the pool area, built in the jungle and so peaceful. We saw a beautiful parrot while swimming and some monkeys in the trees in the evening.

Lovely small hotel set in gorgeous gardens with a lake and swimming pools. We had two lovely large rooms across from the main building. Our rooms had lovely facilities and furnishings. We stayed for 2 nights and ate at the hotel each night which had a good menu choice. We had the continental breakfast which was enough for us but wider options also available. The hotel recommended Mildred Lucas for tour and jungle walk of the Palenque Archeological Zone. Mildred was amazing and we had the best guide and walk and I would highly recommend this for your visit to Palenque. We saw and heard howler monkeys whilst there so an extra special part of our visit too. We had a hire car and safe parking in the grounds of the hotel and we explored Palenque town a little too and lovely restaurants in the town available too. I would recommend this hotel and the small size provides a lovely feel and environment. We found all the staff here very friendly, helpful and professional. We would love to return.

Beautiful setting and good service

Felt a little bit weird that we were the only ones at the hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's a unique property, with the Mayan architecture and location in what feels like the jungle. The rooms are spacious (we were three people, so had an extra bed brought in for $40 per night). The pool is beautiful. My wife had a back massage in the spa area and loved it. We heard all types of birds, and saw and heard the various howler monkeys which was really cool (one morning they were very loud, but this seems unusual). The location is good, as it's between the city and the ruins. We had dinner once at the hotel (decent, but glad on the other night we went into Palenque). The breakfasts were good (we had the continental breakfast with yogurt, granola and sweet breads).
