I chose this hotel based on it having air conditioning. Got to the room and the ac was not working. I went to reception to ask if they could fix it or change rooms and was told that it was turned off through all their hotels to save energy. It had been a hot day and the hotel building retains a lot of heat, so it was impossible to sleep - one of the worst hotel stays ever. Basic mis-selling if they already know the air conditioning is off but still sell the room based on it having ac.

Great stay, really quiet at night but air con wasn’t the best and we were bitten by mosquito multiple times during the night. We had to kill three during our stay and could find other remnants of dead mosquitos on the walls and ceiling

While the room was clean it is also a bit smaller than other Ibis or comparable hotel rooms in this class. It is fine for a day or two, it will feel cramped after that. Be aware that there are 4 Ibis hotels in the immediate area, so don’t just walk to the first one you see.

"Weekend way for Easter."

Needed to get away for a weekend which happened to be Easter. I loved Bordeaux and wanted to be there after three years of no travel. I came on the train from England and it was very convenient for St Jean station. The area around the station is OK.
