Baan Laimai Beach Resort & Spa

I have stayed at Baan Laimai Beach Resort several times and love the property. The staff all recognize me and they make me feel like family. I'm looking forward to my next visit in a few months.

First the property is Magnificent. Absolutely beautiful and magnificent. What puts this resort into the paradise range are the employees. Dach, James and Mai at the pool bar who made me and my girlfriend feel at home, comfortable and well cared for, or Alek, the Restaurant Manager, who made us feel welcome and the rest of the Restaurant staff who provided such wonderful meals. Fantastic food, service we felt was superb. To all the wonderful staff behind the scenes and behind the counter, Jen, Fern, April, Lou, Nicole, John, Chulo, Ord, Kan, Orio and Max, I need to commend for the friendliness, professionalism and best customer service I have ever experienced in any 5 star hotel. Truly the staff has clearly made my decision to stay at the Baan Laimai Beach Resort in Patong on every single future trip to Patong an easy one. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience you have provided me and my girlfriend.

great location, pool and beach, waking street, nice rooms

The location opposite the beach, various size pools all great. The room on arrival was lovely except for a particular mouldy smell. Once we returned from dinner the smell was overpowering. We opened the window onto the balcony to see if that helped clear the bad air. In the end I think we were so tired we just went to bed. However we woken by persisting loud singing coming from the restaurant/bar area downstairs. We rang reception only to be told music is on every night till 11.30!!! Not impressed. Next morning we complained and asked for a room change or money back. They found a room in a very quiet area of the hotel. The room was very large and comfortable, though not renovated. Also breakfast could be improved by adding cappuccino/espresso coffee (rather than having to pay for it) and more western dishes. Otherwise OK. Staff polite, courteous and helpful at all times.

The location was great, being right across the road from the beach; the breakfast had a good variety; the pool was composed of different swimming areas, which was nice because you didn't feel as if you were swimming on top of people; the room was large with a sofa, coffee table, and desk, and an outdoor deck. On the downside, our bathroom had a sewer smell that would not leave, and the housekeeper would never leave toilet paper.

Very close to the beach. The pool was great and large enough for a lot of people to enjoy.

Great location in central Patong. Pool is very nice.

Good location to the beach and the pool was a relief from the outside hustle and bustle of the area. Had to move to an upgraded room as construction and late night band music was amplified by the design of the open lower area which amplified the noise to unacceptable levels. The work in completing a new spa area was supposed to start at 8am and finish by 5pm but went later due to the need to finish it by Feb.3.

Everything about the hotel was excellent it’s just the fact that I had the worst view possible in the entire hotel

Beautiful resort that’s a contrasting oasis in comparison to surrounding Patong. Great breakfast and pool, but the showers and the building exterior could use a little maintenance.
