"Visit to Chengdu"

8.0

Our room was clean with a nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable. There was an excellent morning breakfast buffet. The hotel had a nice lobby level restaurant where we had dinner one evening with excellent food and service. The best part of staying here was the location as it was a safe neighborhood, with good side walks for easy walking, interesting nearby neighborhoods, good restaurants and stores to explore.

"Clean, Comfortable Hotel"

8.0

Our tour group stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip and one night at the end of our trip. The staff did not speak very good English, but it was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning did not work but I understand that is a problem in China... It was a good location for our needs.

"Old but ok"

6.0

Like the rest of the surrounding area, this place hasn’t changed in 20 years. The hotel is nice, with some Tibetan decorations, but that’s just it. It’s simple and old. Though, for the price it’s still ok. It’s nestled in the Tibetan area with a lot of Tibetan restaurants, Tibetan shops and Tibetan monks wandering around. An ok hotel if you’re on a budged and not staying longer than 2 nights

This is an Tibetan Hotel in Chengdu. Our tour group were welcomed with silk scarves which was a lovely experience. This was a two night stay and I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was adequate, but then I travel with items so I always have my ideal

"Good"

An older hotel, good friendly service but the windows didn't close very well without the right knack for closing. Comfortable bed.

"Old and Tired for sure"

4.0

I was here for a couple of nights in September. I'm a frequent traveler in China. The personnel was fine. The place is simply older. I found the breakfast okay. Plenty of variety. Just better places. Towels in the room were worn. Bedding clean, but older. Stuff like this makes me say, "Old and Tired."

"Very welcoming and friendly staff but hotel in need of refurbishment"

6.0

We stayed at Minshan Lhasa Grand Hotel for 2 nights in September while on a group tour of China. We had the most delightful Tibetan welcome on arrival and were each presented with a scarf. We stayed in room 6533 which was quiet and comfy but rather tired and in need of refurbishment. The room had small twin beds, TV, mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities, 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water daily, free Wi-Fi, air con, hairdryer and a room safe (but which we couldn’t get to work). Bathroom had a walk-in shower but the shower door wouldn’t close properly so we used the shower mat to absorb any leakage. They had nice thick towels, toweling face flannels, a few complimentary toiletries, bathroom scales, dressing gown and complimentary slippers. Did not dine in so can’t comment on the restaurant. Breakfast offered a reasonable selection of hot and cold buffet in the restaurant on the 2nd floor. The hotel offers a laundry service. Staff at this hotel were lovely. They also gave us a friendly send off when we left.

"A Welcoming Spot"

8.0

Booked the hotel through Agoda booking service and was totally pleased with the whole process. The hotel, while not new, was well cared for and quite clean. My flight arrived in Chengdu quite late, but the staff was ready for my arrival. My room featured a comfortable king-sized bed, a writing desk, and good sized bath with large shower. Free Wi-Fi was available in the room, but wasn't particularly fast. As expected there were several US sites that were not available in China - Google, Facebook, etc. but that had nothing to do with the hotel's internet access. The business center was available during the day and allowed me to print several pages at a very nominal cost. Breakfast buffet was included with my room and featured western dishes - fried eggs, bacon, cereals, etc. as well as traditional Chinese fare. HUGE dining room, lots of seating.

"Nice hotel"

8.0

Breakfast is excellent: fruits, bread, eggs, vegetables, sausage, coffee, etc. The apartment is fine. I didn't percieve any cigarette smell, as usual in chinese hotels. Staff is friendly: they try hard to help you whatever you need. Hotel is close to the tibetan area.
