Econo Lodge Galveston Seawall

Pros: location, cordial receptionists, adequate breakfast of individually wrapped muffins and danish. Cons: Never was able to join wifi network, desperate need of renovations, lack of decent pillows, no smoke alarm- just a hole in the wall with wires sticking out, no door security chain, tub has no safety grab bars, more expensive than listed online (155/nt).

The only thing good about this hotel was it's right across the street from the beach.

Everything was perfect! Close to the boardwalk and restaurants!! Coming back next year with all my kiddos ❤️❤️

Nothing Perfect

We gave a low rating of one simply because we've been to this location over the years and it was really bad this time. We did not get the room we wanted refrigerator wasn't cool they never changed towels they never answer the phones whenever we call there was no phone in our room the toilet was loose and I'm already disabled, your breakfast was the worst they never change their beds or gave us towels andthe room that we requested which was rooms 131-135 that faces the seawall was unavailable or had plumbing issues but we saw other people with rooms in the same area we were placed in room 129 and the door kept sticking. In all honesty we really wanted a full refund for the moment we got there till we left but we laid ends meet and I am a Google expert guide with over 3.5 million views and I didn't want to leave a bad grading on Google but we will never go back to them but we really want a full refund and we know why they need a $50 deposit but it was not worth it.

Although I received did receive a email saying a $50 deposit was now requited which was refundable at the end of our stay,; the way they carry they treat their guest now says why I see they need that deposit so bad.Thrtes no phone to call them in any rooms and when you do call them----they NEVER ANSWERED EVER AND MADE SEVERAL EXCUSES ABOUT EVERYTHING. They never came to changed our bedsheets or towels and the fridge never cooled our food but the WORSIEST thing was ABSOLUTELY NO WIFI out entire stay and no cable channels as well....the place has really sent down so bad and this once was affordable and convenient place to lodge for us but never never ever again we want our fund refund. Horrible breakfast choices and nasty coffee and no Coco too!!!!?

The location is great. It's like two blocks give or take from the pleasure pier, It's right on seawall boulevard you walk across the street and you walk onto the beach.

I did not like how after I checked in, which was way after the check-in time, there was somebody else's dirty towel hanging in the bathroom on the shower curtain pole. I went to the front desk to just simply mention it and ask for some fresh towels and all I got was attitude from the receptionist. She gave me instant rebuttal an attitude almost offended and told me that was her aunt who was cleaning the rooms and I told her I understood because I seen it was just a little old lady doing the cleaning but yet she still took offense to me simply asking for clean towels. She acted as if it was a inconvenience for her to do what her family had not done. The next day I noticed there there were some spots on the sheets and blankets that I had noticed the night before and I went to the desk, with the same receptionist, and ask for clean linens, even told her I would change them myself if she would just bring them to me, and all I got was attitude and dismissed by her telling me I don't have to wait there she'll bring them to me when she can. I tried to explaining to her we would be going out to eat and would like the clean linens so that we could change them before we left. I waited outside my room for her for 15 minutes and she never showed up. I went back to the front desk and she said well you know what I'm not housekeeping so I didn't know where the stuff was but you can lose your attitude with me. Not professional. Completely rude. Will not be staying here again due to lack of human decency and the fact that I had simply ask for clean sheets and she acted as if I had asked for so much more.
