My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Apu Lodge on our trip to Machu Picchu and it was a wonderful home away from home. The staff was very courteous and helpful in answering our questions. Breakfasts were very good, and the logistics for our day trip to Machu Picchu Our son had recommended staying here rather than in Aquas Calientes and this really helped to make it a great trip.
A quiet spot on the edge of Ullantaytambo, easy walking distance to everything and quiet except for the creek running by the front gate. Grounds nicely landscaped, makes you want to hang out!. Great food in a homey atmosphere.
Just a 5 min walk from main plaza, but very peaceful. Surrounded by lovely gardens with views of the ruins and mountains.Lovely breakfast, helpful staff. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Bed was super comfy. Loved this place. Stayed 2 nights and did some nearby hikes.
The lodge is located in a charming part of the city which added to our experience in Ollytantambo. The views of the archeological site where breathtaking from our rooms . The staff were very helpful and spoke English and Spanish fluently so there were no communication problems and had lots of helpful information . The breakfast was excellent . we would choose this lodge again .
Great location just a 5-10 minute walk up from the main square - very quiet at night, and a lovely courtyard to enjoy in the day. We had dinner twice at their restaurant - food was better than a local restaurant that was very highly rated - it's too bad more people don't make the short walk to check it out. Rooms were basic, but nice - beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a great base to go off and explore the area. Macchu Pichuu was our highlight, and Apu Lodge, kindly organized breakfast for us, even though we left at 4:00 to catch the early bird train to Macchu Pichuu! A very friendly and helpful team, thank you!
Hotel staff are very nice, warm welcoming. Prior to our trip, they helped us to find a driver to pick us up from Cusco airport and then took us all day to visit Apodaca, Moray and salt flats. The morning when we had to get up early to catch the train to Machu Picchu, they prepacked our breakfast so we can take with us. We would highly recommend this little hotel.
The staff was helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, and the hotel and grounds were very pretty.
