Apu Lodge B&B

Manager promised a few caveats to no avail. He was trying a bit to hard. Didn't have breakfast at a time discussed. Got more information from his wife.great.

Overall a good experience with this hotel. Off from the main plaza but close enough to ruin and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Garden area is another place to relax after hiking. We went in the middle of Aug and wish we had a heater in our room.

Nice Hostal with great location. The best staff ever. Help with tour and info. A little expensive. However, it a great place to stay. Ask for Reynaldo can help with taxis/ transportation and as a guide.

The staff of Apu Lodge were extremely helpful in arranging taxi/tours from and to Cusco. They were also very friendly which was the best part of our stay. The accommodations are basic. If on the first floor, there is a lot of noise coming from the second floor.

Pros: -This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Peru -Staff was extremely nice -The hammocks outside the lodge were a great place to hang out and relax -Do the fun hike behind Apu instead of the main city ruins -Overall very relaxing feel -Breakfast was good and nice that it was included -We had our laundry done at Apu, which was great in the middle of the trip. Two in our trip had packed light and had planned on this in the middle of the trip -Rooms were clean -Bottles of wine available for reasonable price Cons: -WiFi was really poor - couldn't extend beyond lobby area and often didn't work. Everyone is sharing a 3G card plugged into a switch/router -Could not flush toliet paper (Happens fairly often in Peru so just heads up) -They prefer cash (PEN or USD but new bills) and want to add a 4% transaction fee for using Visa, which is nowhere that I saw on Hotels.com when I booked

It is a little difficult bu people from the hotel were very helpful. However the hotel and people there were very nice. Very good ambiance a s environment

Comfortable B&B convenient to Machu Picchu and other sites. The town itself is charming. Hotel staff were most accommodating. Kudos to Ruth and Darren for gracious help.

We had the most amazing time staying at Apu Lodge! It was a beautiful little resort tucked away in a gorgeous, historical town. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer!

A beautiful property up a cobblestone alley in the lovely quaint town. Great views of Inca ruins at Ollantaytambo. Provided filtered water, delicious breakfast, very helpful staff for information/recommendations, transportation assistance, help with luggage to town center. They will help with luggage up to their property also. Our taxi driver didn't know where it was and we didn't have cell service to call but a local pointed us in the right direction so we found our way.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is slightly far away from the main area. A lot of insects in the room.
