Vinh Hung Riverside Resort & Spa

We visited Hoi An as a family, in January, and stayed at Vinh Hung Riverside Resort! The location is wonderful - just a short walk to cross the bridge into the Old Town, but an oasis of peace to return to after shopping, eating and wandering the streets, as the Resort faces out onto the quiet side if the river. Vinh Hung has everything you need for a fabulous stay in Hoi An. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the service was excellent . I would highly recommend this Resort. Hoi An was everything and more than we had hoped for and we all loved our time there. Trudy and Keith Simpson

Beautiful location and views. Daily food tasting sessions. Staff all really friendly and helpful.

Booked in for 6 nights about 3 months ago, prior to the floods in Hoi An. My wife and I were a bit nervous that the room would be affected, but there was no indication of damage that we could see. Staff member Dinh Tran-awesome person, and a credit to the hotel by the way, gave us an account of how the whole staff came together to remove the flood damage. He is really proud of the hotel and told us that the whole staff are like extended family. That will help explain the friendliness and professional approach by all the staff to their customers. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel, and the location, near to the night market, but out of earshot is great.

Everything. This is our second time in Vietnam and also in Hoi An. This resort was everything we coukd wish for and will go back again. Staff were lovely and helpful. Location was simply amazing. Facilities were perfect and we even decided to stay and eat there one evening while overlooking the river. Again, best hotel we have ever stayed. We stayed 4 nights and wished we had booked for longer.

A Two Star Review Prevented! Pluses: Excellent location, central but quiet. Large rooms. Well maintained. Freebies: Sunset trip, guitar and free nibbles 4-5pm each day. Minuses: We booked many months before our date of travel. For four consecutive nights. But we found the hotel had overbooked for our third night and we were required to move to a nearby hotel for that night. Very inconvenient. Lots of packing and unpacking. We had a conversation or two with them, which resulted in a free taxi from airport, guaranteed 11.00am check-in time, and on the last day we were given an upgrade to a superior river view room. Also staff went out of their way to find us at breakfast each day and were all over us, being particularly friendly and helpful and chatty and taking an interest in us. Two star review averted!

The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, perfect if you’re looking to unwind. Amenities are quite limited, but the overall experience makes up for it. The hotel offers a free sunset afternoon cruise (registration required), which is a lovely touch, and if the weather cooperates, the complimentary afternoon tasting of local food is really good. The location is excellent—within walking distance to the old town, and there are many good, affordable restaurants nearby. A great choice for a calm stay with scenic views and convenient access to local attractions.
