Kohaku-an Machiya Holiday House

Très jolie et confortable machiya dont la décoration est fidèle aux photos (sauf la petite terrasse intérieure qui en réalité est minuscule). Maison très bien équipée pour passer quelques jours à Kyoto. La conciergerie est très efficace et a répondu au delà de nos attentes à nos questions / demandes.

Bien que facilement accessible en train, en bus et en métro, le logement était un peu trop éloigné du centre. Tous les les lieux de visite étaient à minimum 20 minutes de transport. La chambres sur rue un peu trop bruyante. Un mode d'emploi en anglais de la machine à laver le linge aurait été apprécié.

Our stay at this home was lovely. The location was beautiful and very convenient with bus stops on the immediate street and a train within a short walking distance. Also a pharmacy and convenience store within a 1-2 minute walk. My sister and I absolutely loved our stay - and the staff was so kind to us when my sister caught a mild bug. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It was a huge apartment, on two floors. Very comfortable and spacious and beautifully designed. One bedroom with western beds and the other with futons. There was a good supermarket on the other side of the road, a minute’s walk away.

It was on a busy road but it was still very quiet at night. A bit off the beaten track maybe.

Well situated for exploring Kyoto. Close to good train lines. Comfortable and clean house with all the facilities needed for our stay.

Great experience at a lovely machiya house in Kyoto with the enough western facilities and the japanese escence. 5 minutes walk to the nearest station which is one stop from Kyoto Station.

Coffee and tea was ready for us and the place was clean and the beds were amazing

The very first day it smelled like smoke but it must have been the neighbours

It is a clean and well maintained independent Japanese style home in the center of the city.

The check-in counter is near the station and very convenient. Nice, calm and quite place to stay.(even there is road in front with cars passing)

Being fully self contained and with a good kitchen.

Would have liked a bit more hanging space however the staff helped us in this area.
