Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel

Wonderful location with great views from our room. Comfortable. Friendly staff. Hotel was nice as were the lush gardens. Secure free parking included. Restaurant had fairly limited menu and was pricey for these parts.

El hotel se sabe que es antiguo, y sigue siendo bueno pero si creo que le falta actualizar algunas cosas como poner por lo menos un conector más. Tuvimos un incidente con mi beba de 2 años, la teniamos jugando en el pequeño espacio que tienen para bebés dentro de la piscina, ella jugando tranquila ahi se cortó el pie, solamente nos llevaron un botiquín, no hubo una disculpa o un apoyo adicional, y eso que la cortada fue porque tienen azulejos quebrados y otros rajados en esa área. Deberían de tener todo en mejores condiciones.

In a spetacular location right at the shore of lake Atitlan, it faces the lake and the volcanos at a beautiful setting. The grounds have gardens, hammocks, a museum, a large restaurant, a water slide, swimming pool and large rooms. Very quiet, being at the end of the main street of the town and close to everything. Drawbacks: no safe in the room, no air conditioning, no elevator. However, the staff will take your luggage to your room on the second floor. Recommended.

I booked two rooms for the same date because I was visiting Panajachel with friends. Unfortunately at the arrival we were told that the second room I had reserved was not for two persons although it was a room for two. The clerk was cuestioning that there was marked only one person for this room via booking.com, although they were charging for two persons, and as the surprise I was charged Q 200,-- for each night for the second person!!! And the made no move to resolve the problem continuing con their arguements. Although I was charged the extra the room service did not respond, because there were left only towels for one person .... I was complaining about the problem but the clerk showed no reaction to resolve or to get me reimbursed although service left much to desire ....

Great location to everything.

Beautiful oasis of tranquility right in the heart of downtown. Rooms are big with quiet patios. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the surrounding blocks. The hotel has an exit directly to the docks where you can catch a boat to tour ghe rest of the lake.
