Inverary Resort

We had high hopes for our long-planned visit but was a bit disappointed. The entire place is in need of TLC. Our building and rooms were a little sad and shabby, and the rooms themselves certainly didn't have any extras (like a photo on a wall, for example). We were booked in for three nights, but the breakfast on site was so underwhelming we cancelled our dinner reservation and had all our meals elsewhere.

I was recently at a massive family wedding at the resort in Sept. 2025. I was in tow with my 2-year-old son who and other family members who added a little extra "zazz" to the trip, to say the least. We were well taken care of at the restaurant, albeit busy due to the wedding guests. Upon checking out and driving home to Halifax--I my heart sank. I left my apple watch on the window sill of our cabin. I called and immediately Marina, the desk manager assured me it was turned in by the housekeeping and boxed it up in bubble wrap and sent it back to my in Halifax. I was SO grateful for her honestly and accommodation. I received my device and can't wait to go back and experience another family vacation. Thank you, Marina.

On reading the reviews I was a bit wary about our potential stay but it turned out to be much better than the reviews had led me to expect. On the positives it is a really excellent location with beautiful views and easy walking distance to the Main Street. Particularly useful at this stage in the trip to have a launderette nearby. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We had one minor problem which was fixed really quickly Excellent meal in the bar and looked after by a friendly server Jo. There was also live music in the bar. Had a good swim in the pool and a nice walk in the grounds. One negative for me was I had three flights of stairs to walk up to our room and although not disabled i would recommend that anyone that may struggle with this to see if they have ground level accommodation. I would have no problem staying at the Inverary resort again.

Dire. Damp , uninviting rooms with outdated decor. Restaurant breakfast and dinner was very poor. Changed rooms but was not much better. On our trip to Nova Scotia and P.E.I we were hoping that this ‘resort’ would be better than it was. Very poor

We stopped in the Old Barn. Our room was adequate but the bathroom was very small with nowhere to hang towels. The plumbing in the room was very noisy, although the water supply was hot and plentiful. The toiletries supplied were very basic, with no shower/bath gel. The floorboards in the room above were quite creaky and we could hear the occupants above moving about. We tried breakfast on our first morning and were very disappointed. There was limited food choice, it was poorly presented and the hot food we had (bacon and scrambled eggs) was overcooked. The bar area was pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful, however overall we would not stay here again due to the room and food issues.

The area is beautiful and the resort is in a great location. We were given room 55 in the Argyle building on the main floor. The musty mildewy smell greets you as you open the door. The furniture is OLD and has def seen better days. Dresser has huge nicks and the lamps have rusty bases. The room has not see an upgrade in 30 years. The last straw was the bathtub did not drain properly, so you know the drain is clogged with hair etc. EW. We were given the “Honeymoon Suite” as an upgrade when we complained. This room has seen an upgrade in recent years, with little thought given to decor though. The living room area was basic with an aging leather sofa and fireplace. The bedroom area held a king bed and 2 nightstands. No tv or desk/dresser to put your toiletries on. The lighting in both rooms was daylight/bright LEDS allowing for zero ambiance, retina burning lol. For the price charged the feel was motel 6

Excellent staff and accomodations
