Lovely position lakeside and convenient for village centre. 7/8 minutes walk Easy free parking This was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and lack of alternative accommodation in the village was the only reason we didn’t move We thought we were walking into a 1970’s film set when we entered the room! Unbelievably dated and depressing decor Bathroom had a low walk in bath with overhead shower complete with one of those plastic curtains that sticks to your body! No room service on second day, made our own bed, had to go to reception to get replacement ‘glass ‘ and crockery in the form of cheap paper cups. Despite trying the phones numerous times, no one answered By far the worst aspects were the noise transferred from adjacent rooms particularly above and people walking along the wooden walkway outside rooms. Particularly noisy were guest with wheeled cases. Noise from above ended 2.30 am one morning and at 5.30am on two mornings with our overhead neighbours rising early ensured over three nights we hardly had any sleep Dinner one evening in the Lakeside restaurant was good. Buffet breakfast poor and service from staff who were helpful but desperately in need of training Baddeck is a lovely village in a stunning setting but don’t stay here!

The pub and the food at the pub was very good

Our room was a bit tight for 3 adults and 3 dogs. When we arrived, the door was already open, which concerned us. After a quick look around, we were good. I find ALL decent hotels now-a-days are overpriced

Pool, hot tub and sauna were very good. Impressive facilities in great condition on very nice grounds.

Everything, especially the location but exceptionally helpful staff and great food.

More and better located outlets to charge devices.

The property was in a good location for our purposes.

This in was a great place yo stay, the food was amazing. Staff was freindly. Rooms and shower were awesome with plenty of hot water. We have a dog, and the only complaint he had was the grass was so well cut there was none for him to eat. Other than that it was excellent!!! Will definitely come back.
