Karnak Hotel Luxor

This property is not a 3 star hotel. Firstly the hotel looks nothing like on the pictures, it’s very run down, fixtures are old, hotel looks terrible. Air con has been too low and I was cold and no remote to switch it off. No kettle in a room, NO HOT WATER!!! I literally bathe in cold water. Pool has no loungers and ones provided were dirty and old. The manager was bothering me far too much I found that uncomfortable. He tried to take me on some trips which I didn’t even discuss with them at all! NO BREAKFAST!!! I had to ask for it!!!! It really upset me and I couldn’t wait to just get out of that place. Hotel isn’t managed properly and it’s very poor overall! Shop next to the hotel overcharged me. Avoid this place at all costs! Really ruined my trip.

Room comfortable with Air Aconditioned but breakfast was terrible. A surprise box with only one mango juice one chocolate croissant and a pack of fried potato no bread no cheease no milk no coffee. Pool is ok

The Pictures on Hotel.com DO NOT represent the reality of the Hotel. Avoid this place completely. Also very nosey outside with their friends beeping horns constantly until about 2:00am. Then restart first thing. The hosts just can’t be bothered to actually run a hotel. Simply don’t book this Hotel. Dirty horrible place, pool was brown.

I would not go with Turkish airlines again as it was crowded seating was narrow

This property is very run down & dated with fixtures hanging off & worn out bedding & towels. The breakfast wasn't to my liking but edible nevertheless. What makes this property unique is the hospitality & kindness offered by all the staff except Ali who i found to be arrogant & rude with a pathetic attitued, he even gave my friend a lecture on how to dress. The rest of the staff where always pleasant & always very attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble for them & any issue me or my friends had was always resolved immediately. Mostafa always looked after us when we were out & about & he organised all our excursions & drove us everwhere. However, if your thinking of staying at this hotel & takung up your site seeing through Mostafa then be aware of the charges & don't feel pressured or obliged to pay for any trips/excursions you haven't requested or agreed to as he does pre book trips etc without informing you & then expects you to pay for something you don't want to do & can get angry when you refuse to go, always ensure you are clear on what you are willing to pay him beforehand or do your site seeing independently.

اسوء حمام سباحه ولا يوجد مياه ساخنه و الفطار عباره عن عينات و لا يطل الفندق على اى منظر سوا منازل تحت الانشاء ولا يستحق حتى نجمه واحده

The staff were absolutely fabulous. We stayed in colder weather so could not use the pool which was a shame as the pool and outdoor area looked really nice. Staff could not be friendlier and very helpful. No request was too hard. The rooms are dated, but still comfortable and the hotel is close to Karnak temple also. We were hapoy with our stay and would stay again.

I had an great experience at this hotel. They have a restaurant open at all times and so is the pool! The staff was very helpful and nice. I would stay again!

The rooms, restaurant, pool and lobby were really old and totally different from the web photos, you’ll be surprised the doorknob, bathroom and Airconditioning also! Lol (traveled since Dec 25- Jan 04 2019)

This is an amazing hotel with a wonderful staff. We love it. Nice rooms, nice facilities, good restaurants. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Luxor again!
