Quality Inn & Suites - Marlin

Location - good hotel if needing to stay in the Marlin, TX area

Lots of road traffic noise. AC unit could not even drown out the noise. Would recommend to get a room away from the highway. Property is beginning to show its age

That it was a good sized room is about the only thing good I can say .

That the bathroom door didn't close.,, There is no phone in the room to call front desk so u have to go down there and ask for something and then get question about why u need it , The floor in my room was dirty . There is no drink machine there there is coffee machine in the room but no cups or coffee so once again you have go back to the front desk instead of being able to pick up the phone and call front desk so I didn't feel like being questioned on why I was asking for something .

It was inexpensive and in a pinch an ok place to stay. Room was ok and AC as well as water worked. Water pressure was lacking. You get what you pay for so pretty much as expected. Property could use some TLC from ownership.

Rooms were clean and nice. No air conditioning in lobby or hall ways. Somewhat dirty in public areas.

Most everything went well. It was quiet, easy access to the hotel, access to internet, good television programs, the staff was attentive and friendly. The bed was comfortable and temperature was good.

Breakfast was not available. There was some work going on in the dining room. There were no wash cloths so I had to go ask for some. Before when we stayed at the same hotel I had to go ask for towels (I let the staff know that too). The rooms were not well cleaned, ie night stands were dusty and dirty, bathroom sink faucets were all gunked up, floors looked as though they had not been cleaned. There was light from outside shining on the sides of the window.

My wife and I stayed here with our grandson for one night. It was one night too many. The room was disgusting. The pullout couch mattress was stained with squashed roaches and who knows what else. There was urine in the toilet. It looked like it could have been CSI : Marlin. For 3 people, there were 2 small pillows. I was then told that they have run out of pillows. NEVER have I had a hotel run out of pillows. I was able to get sheets and blankets for the pullout. That was…of course…after we could find the guy working the front desk and waiting for other guests who were waiting to complain about the state of their room. In the morning, our morning was started by finding that roaches had crawled into our luggage. Fantastic. The bottom line here is that they aren’t trying, don’t care, and are operating a hotel that ought to be condemned as a biohazard site.

Just a very average hotel - standard kind of rooms for this time - bed, desk, TV, internet, bathroom - nothing great, nothing bad

The parking lot lighting was just WEIRD as when I got there it didn't exist!!!! NOTHING!!! No lit sign, no lot lights, NOTHING!!! IT WAS PITCH BLACK AND REALLY WIERD!!!! ACTUALLY DISTURBING AND I FELT TOTALLY UNSAFE!!!!! The front desk said there was a problem with the timer, but come on, really, JUST FIX IT !!!!!!!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE TO NEVER STAY HERE!!!!! A HOTEL THAT CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO LIGHT THEIR SIGN OR PARKING LOT IS JUST A REAL DUMP!!!!!!!!

This place is a literal dump. The parking lot is full of trash as well as the property around the hotel. There was nobody at the front desk. I had to call the hotel phone number to get the guy to come give us a key to the room. There are 2 flat pillows on the king size bed. They do not have extra pillows. The pull out couch was covered in dead roaches and droppings. There were no sheets in the room for the pull out. The floors are filthy. There was urine in the toilet when we checked in. We would never even consider staying here again. Just gross!

They only provided a few towels. Did not ckean the room the two days we were there.
