Quality Inn & Suites - Marlin

I've stayed here many times over the years. of the 3 hotel options in Marlin, this place is the most expensive, and usually worth the cost. not this time. the first thing I noticed is that there were no towels in the restroom. and it was dirty. the previous occupants left a bar of soap in the shower, along with a few "hairs." I'll leave it at that. the smoke detector was literally hanging from the ceiling by it's cords. I needed to transport my luggage from the car. noticed the hangar where the luggage carts are stored was empty. I asked the attendant, he said both carts were on the 2nd floor. he didn't apologize, and didn't offer to bring the carts down for me, so I had to get them myself. the one good thing is that the heater worked, as it was in the 20's outside. perhaps it worked TOO well. it seems the thermostat wasn't working so it wouldn't shut off when the room reached the preset temo. had to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off manually. if only I was as fortunate with the hot WATER. I wasn't. it was barely tolerable enough to shower. I let the girl working the desk know the next stand she said she'd let someone know. I guess she didn't, because the issue reminded for the rest of my stay. as I said, I've stayed here many times and it's usually a pleasant experience, but it's been lacking for the past few years. I was hopeful when I found out that there was new management. it was better for a bit, but eventually things deteriorated yet again.

This property is not what the pictures portray. From the moment I pulled up, I should have canceled. The room was dingy and dark. Of the three vanity lights only one worked. Got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom to find two roaches on the bathroom floor. It was in the low 30s and the bedding was thin. I had to double up the bedding to stay warm. Do not stay here.

Didn't have any breakfast. Did not know of it. Improvements were made since my last visit. Nice full size fridge.

Mold on the shower curtains. Very low water pressure and luke warm water temperature.But I know it's Marlin. Place was mostly empty so a room away from the highway and others who were noisy would have been nice.

We check-in for 2 days. However we had to leave due to what we experienced. The room I was first in was fine but the cable wasn’t working. We were given another room unfortunately that room was horrible. The shower was not clean, towels had stains, and I had to unclog the shower with my hands only to find towel paper and mold clogging it. The walls also had mold on them.

No one at the desk. When I called for a refund, the guy lied and said he was there the whole time. I wanted a refund. he claims they didn't charge the card but who knows. I'll have to check as I don't believe him.

When we got there they had no working water. This is a bad place. No full breakfast and the websites say full breakfast. Do not stay.

There was no such thing as a breakfast. Nothing but slices of bread.

No breakfast mostly.

The room had a smell, They had bugs (Roaches) in the room, i had to reclean the bathroom because it had hair on the sink and commode.
