Nice resort, great area

We enjoyed walking across the road to the lake, but the overall cleanliness and smell of the cabin could have been better.

We came as a family of 5. Things we liked: across the resort there was a nice rocky beach with lots of marine life to see and kayaks/canoe/paddle board rental. We spent most of our time here during our two night stay. The indoor pool was nice-very cold- but welcomed after a hot day outside. Lunch at the club house was very good. The playground was well kept and fun for the kids. Loved the view Things we did not like- the outdoor pools were “closed for maintenance”. They have been closed a long time and there was no one working on them. The mini golf was only open Thursday-Sat. We were there Tue/wed so the kids were disappointed. The couch in our cottage was covered in human and dog hair, which isn’t especially great because my two kids have sever dog allergies. They offered to try and find us another cabin, but after a very long day of travel and already unloading our things before we noticed, we covered it with fresh sheets to make it usable. One of the two small burners in the kitchenette did not work. The cottage was very hot, but at least had fans. Went to do laundry and the washing machine ate up coins and did not work. There was one other one in service thankfully. The volleyball court was huge, but it was all mini rocks, not sand. As a family that plays volleyball, you can’t exactly play properly on rocks so didn’t use it much. Thankfully we brought a ball as there was not one available and ended up playing on the grass. The “horseshoe pit” was no where to be found.

The “seasonal” out door pool is completely out of service, the liner is severely ripped and it looks like it’s been that way for a while. The lodge rooms are tired, toilet is so old it doesn’t have insulation in the tank and it sweats badly, leaving a permanent puddle on the floor that is rotting the vanity beside it. Sink had been broken and had an unsightly repair in it. Curtains were either musty or someone had smoked in room so the room smelled old for all these reasons. Ceiling must not be insulated, foot steps in the room above were very loud.
