"Great spot for families"

Great host upon arrival, spacious cottage with all basic needs met for a great price. Beds comfy and bathroom and kitchen were nice and clean

Grass in the back garden was very long & limited trays for the oven hampered tea a little bit

We stayed in the one bedroom cottage which was lovely. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, the river walk is a must.

Stunning place. Calm and quiet. If you want to feel the British vibe, this is the real place to feel that.

Bathrooms are bit old. Need some modern equipments.

"A thoroughly enjpoyable experience, both myself and my partner would be very happy to stay the again"

Staff were all very friendly and happy to chat. They all gave the impression that they enjoyed working at the hotel. The continental breakfast was fine, and the evening meals were a delight. The hotel was a little shabby in appearance, but the ambience was of a comfortable relaxing place to stay.

The shower was a little under inspiring, although the en suite was spotless.

Very tranquil surroundings near the river with lovely gardens and old buildings

Room was not properly serviced. Had to ask fir re-clean. Also had to ask twice for teabags and sugar... gave up asking for refilling tissue box (only 2 tissues in it). Booking was B&B - "complimentary" breakfast is called continental but is just cereal and toast. Evening set meals are decent pub food but very expensive for what the are. Due to warm weather you have to keep the windows closed because of midges, but there is no A/C and the supplied fan was poor, so the room was too hot!

The external grounds were nice

Our room was very dirty. Hair in the bath tub, very dense spider webs in the bathroom. The bed was really uncomfortable and I think the curtains were just for show, as they didn't do a lot to keep the light out. Staff were polite but I wouldn't say friendly. Not a huge selection at breakfast either.
