Loacted on a small vinyard, a 15 minute walk into town

Our host, Rietha, was very kind and accommodating. She patiently waited for us for a very late arrival, because of an emergency we had in Cape Town. She also helped us jump start our car the next morning.

Comfortable with nice surroundings. Lovely log fire, very nice staff

The house was very spacious, perfect for families. We really enjoyed using the open fireplace. Very cozy! The cottage manager kindly provided us with extra firewood. The location is less than 2km from town centre and also from the wine tram station. I enjoyed the presence of the two sweet dogs. 😊 They never tried to follow us to our cottage (unlike what the other guests have experienced). But even if they did, I wouldn’t have minded.

Nothing that really bothered us. :) But some points worth noting for other guests. 1. The street gets really busy and noisy during the day. I had expected the location to be in a quieter area. But it’s peaceful enough in the evening, so in the end, it was ok for us. 2. It’s true that the interior is dated but then again, it gives an authentic cottage vibes. 3. The small guest pool was not cleaned during our stay but we didn’t feel like going for a swim in any case so it was also fine for us. I suppose they don’t always clean it when there’s not a lot of guests - which makes sense. 4. There was some noise in the ceiling that woke us up on our first night. It turns out it was a squirrel. We reported it to the cottage manager and the issue was resolved on our 2nd night.
