Gizis was a lovely hotel! The view from our room was incredible. Our porch overlooked the caldera- absolutely breathtaking. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and friendly, answered all of the questions we had. Sometimes we had problems with water not being hot enough (we visited in October, sometimes you need a hot shower to warm up after being outside in the cold!). We also had problems with wifi, the signal wasn't very strong. We weren't using it for much, mostly just google maps, to figure out where we wanted to go, and it worked but not as well as I would have liked it to. The hotel is located outside of Imerovigli. They had parking, which is good because we rented a car. We loved the location because we like not being in the center of things- the area was super quiet and peaceful. While at the hotel it felt kind of remote but we were still an easy drive from everything we wanted to do. We would definitely recommend staying at Gizis, and we would stay there again if we visit Santorini!

Excellent views of sunset from this hotel!!! We watched the famous Santorini sunset in 3 different locations, and the best we had is from Gizis!!! Quiet location away from all the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds. We are a family of 4 staying in their standard Family room with a double bed and 2 single beds with not 1 but 2 bathrooms which was very convenient for us. Very clean, updated facilities with complete toiletries and even pairs of slippers for all of us. Beds very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Free bottled water, tea and coffee is also a plus as well as a mini fridge and safe. TV channel has a BBC news in english. Wide variety choices for breakfast: bacon, sausage, boiled eggs, 4 types of cereals, cold meats, cheese, Greek yoghurt, bread and spreads, fresh fruits and cakes. For drinks, you can have orange juice, filter coffee or barista made cappuccino, latte etc. Best breakfast we had in Santorini! Quick check in and check out, staff gave us valuable information, map and tips. Free parking. Only reccomendation I can give is for the water in the pool to be heated during the cool months of the year. Also, maybe a curtain shower in the bathroom as water gets everywhere when you have a shower. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with Gizis hotel and would definitely stay again when we go back to Santorini. My daughter is already asking when we are going back!

fantastic location, breakfast included, great sunset view

One of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed with, they go above and beyond for service - setting you up with whatever you need for your stay on Santorini, and our hotel room had the fastest Wi-Fi I have ever experienced. The hotel is a little far from the local bus stop, about a 15min down a cobblestone path so I would recommend using their services to book a shuttle to get there. Gorgeous views of the caldera with minimal foot traffic from the path behind the hotel. 10-15min walk into closest town to grab dinner or shop. They served up a hot breakfast that was very good as well. It is more private/secluded than other areas on the island, making it more of a romantic setting but also less convenient to get to the bus stop/restaurants/shopping.

We, a family of 4 including 2 children under 6-years old, stayed Gizis Hotel for 4 nights. The reception is very helpful, they give you all the information you need, and some special requests. The view from the hotel is amazing especially when the weather is good, you will enjoy the most beautiful Caldera View in the world. Enjoy your breakfast and morning sea view at the same time, rather than spending lots of more money in those sea view restaurants in Fira, the breakfast is nice and my sons like it very much. Imerovigli is the best location if you rent a car which I strongly recommend, as I bet you don't want to wait 30 mins or more for public transport in the summer sun, and live in Imerovigli, is much more cheaper comparing to live in Oia or Fira, where there are sooooo many tourist and to crowed. I would recommend to everyone.

Room view is sensational over the Caldera We had a ground floor room. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were terrible We could hear tables and chairs being dragged across the upstairs tiled floors in the dining room and other rooms a problem that could be easily fixed by the owner.

Amazing staff and a great out of the city location with the best view for sunsets! It is right between the two main cities with just a short walk to Fira! If you need anything recommendations, transportation, food etc you can ask the staff and they will set you up!

We had beautiful exclusive room with private hot tub. Unfortunately extremely cloudy and windy that we could not take full advantage in mid May.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Clean rooms, fantastic service throughout our stay! Loved every minute, the views are incredible, the outdoor hot tubs are amazing and kept in wonderful condition, perfect to relax whilst watching the amazing sunset. Gizis hotel is amazing value for what you get compared to many other hotels very close. Thank you Gizis, it was a pleasure staying!

The view was amazing. Weather was overcast and Jacuzzi Tub was too cold to use. The next morning we had very little hot water for a shower. Once we told them it was fixed and very hot in a short time. I am to assume that the jacuzzi tub warmed up as well but we needed to check out by then so unfortunately unable to enjoy it. Vasos was very helpful and all staff was friendly. Breakfast was simple, but very fresh and a good variety and a amazing view.
