Gizis Exclusive

The view......... wow :) but the price is a bit much considering that's all you get. We were glad to have the view but it was the most expensive part of our trip... Elena was really nice and they did try to help us a lot. Bad point: they don't offer any free shuttle at least from airport or ferry when we get there. it's 25 min to imeroglivi town and 50 min to the next one.

I loved everything about the room I stayed in. It was on the top floor (2nd floor) with great view of the sea, Oia, and sunset. The room was spacious, clean and bed was very comfortable. I felt as I've rented a pent house because since the room was located in 2nd floor, in front of the sea view, the room had the biggest window and I got the biggest balcony/terrace of my own. Breakfast was ok. If I come to Santorini in the future again, I would def stay in Gizis exclusive.

The hotel was in the perfect location if you have a car or rent and atv! We liked how secluded and private it was. Our room had a private jacuzzi on the balcony and the view of the sunset was spectacular! The staff was so amazing and kind! They really made our trip special! Would definitely go back!

Gizis is a wonderful hotel run by extremely kind and caring staff. As soon as you get in contact with them, they make you feel like family and treat you as such throughout your stay. The views were phenomenal, and we liked being a little away from the main town of Imerovigli - except you must remember you’ll have to walk (or bus/taxi) a bit to get to places like Fira! The room was excellent- our balcony was spacious with a beautiful view and we enjoyed many caldera sunsets without leaving the room. We would come back in a heartbeat!!

The views and service made our stay incredible. Very helpful staff that were more than willing to help with whatever our request was.

We had a great time at Gizis. It’s only a 15-20 minute drive to Oia. Staff was friendly and the view is incredible. We watched the sunset from our deck, it was magnificent. The only thing I was not thrilled about was their breakfast. It was okay. Aside from that, I would highly recommend it!

We felt a great sense of hospitality. We felt invited to ask questions and for help with booking our motorcycle, tours, airport transportation. The receptionist did all of that for us and always with a genuine smile. Great room, beyond our expectations. It was super clean and probably the only hotel that did not have a weird cigar smell like our other stays in Europe.The only thing was that there were big groups of rude tourists staying at the hotel that invaded our suite’s balcony constantly thourout the day. We got a suite with the tub and they went inside our area to take pictures. They even moved around the outdoor furniture. They were very loud and woke us up almost everyday. Only advice would be for them to be more strict with that and have more barriers. Also the hot tube was not warm enough to use. I understand it was windy but an actual hot tube should be very warm to be able to use even in those conditions.

Wonderful location

The views were pretty amazing from this hotel and we enjoyed the breakfast, kind check-in/out staff, and private hot tubs. However, the entire place is showing signs of aging. The pool and hot tubs appear a bit dingy and the bedding/room decor is dated. Additionally, we had the worst showers of our lives here. We understand the logistics of being on an island and on top of a caldera, but we had engagement photos scheduled and I physically couldn't rinse the shampoo from my hair..it was that lacking in water pressure. Our other complaint was that there wasn't enough information about how to get to the hotel. We were staying on another part of the island first and decided to take the public bus to Imerovigli for this hotel stay. We had read that the bus stop was right outside of the hotel, so we thought that this would be perfect. Once dropped off in Imerovigli, much to our surprise, we actually still had a harrowing, 30+ minute walk to the hotel. We nearly lost our lives on that stretch and I caution all further visitors to beware! At check-in, we were informed that we were actually supposed to have specifically requested the stop, "Imerovigli at Tasos Taverna." That was obviously not common knowledge and I wish that we had received an email, been able to read this somewhere online, etc.
