Al Falaj Hotel

The Entrance. 90s nostalgic vibes, reminds me of the hotel our family used to spend our weekends back in Manila. Don't get me wrong, yes it's old (this was the comment of my local tour guide, an Omani) but I see beauty in it. The Room Upgrade. I booked the Classic room and upon arrival, the Reception upgraded my room. I wasn't expecting it, but definitely will not say no to it. The Tea Lounge (Stassen). Something about a luxury tea brand as an F&B outlet in a hotel, makes it more unique/exclusive and upscale. Love everything about it -the concept, the interiors, displays, and the books! As a Content Creator, it was a delight filming the whole space of the tea lounge. The Room with a View. Probably we can thank the Omani Government, Sultan Qaboos and everyone in Oman for maintaining and making good of the infrastructures to its standard height. No obstruction and I have no objection to that. Last but not the least, The Staff. Special thanks to Rissa from F&B (my Kabayan) for her exceptional hospitality during my whole stay and to Faisal, who went above and beyond to arrange my transport services when OTaxi/Yango was charging unreasonably high and when their service was unattended, at times.

My stay at Al Falaj Hotel was average overall. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, which may not be ideal for travelers looking for easy access to major attractions. The room was decent, but the lighting was inadequate and made the space feel less comfortable. The mattress was also not very comfortable, which affected the quality of sleep. In addition, the air conditioning unit was quite noisy, producing a constant humming sound throughout the night. On the positive side, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was an average stay with a few areas that could be improved, particularly room comfort and noise levels.
