Salad Buri Resort & Spa

This resort was a little too campy for our taste. The pool was nice. The beach was not so nice. There was loads of stuff washed up when the tide was out. This is definitely not a swim beach. There wasn't even chairs down on the beach. The room set up was nice we had 2 rooms that adjoined with a little sitting area. So it was nice and spacious for my family of four. It was nice that the kids had their own room. However, the beds were so uncomfortable. My biggest problem with this resort were the death trap stairs we had to climb to get to our room. They were unstable rock stairs that went straight up. There are no rails to hold onto or lights leading up the path. So hold on tight and god forbid you have a glass of wine and try and climb them. Going down was even worse. Getting the bags up and down the stairs was no fun. This wasn't ideal with two small children. Overall, the resort was very, very quiet (almost too quiet). When staying here don't be surprised to see lots of wild life. We had a very large lizard on the outside of our bathroom window, a large spider in our bathroom and when walking to breakfast saw a lizard walking across the bridge that must of been 3 feet long yikes... We left after only 2 nights when we had a non-refundable 4 nights booked.

Very nice and quiet you cant swim in the sea to much coral all over also the tide is out during the day but has three lovely pool set in a nice cove plenty of resturants along the beach. The hotel is about twenty minuete car ride from the ferry very hilly .we enjoyed our stay and would go back again

Arrived to find the lagoon being cleaned out so 30 workers going to be there for our entire stay of 10 nights Showed us our room we had booked, private pool ,pool disgusting so dirty as was the room. Asked for another room and agreed to lagoon pool even though they were working on the lagoon it was an improvement. Bed stale smell. .First thing in the morning we were woken with skill saws and hammers then a note slipped under the door informing us they were replacing all the timber decking of the main pool and this will continue for a couple of weeks You have got to be kidding me, unbelievable we checked out, refused to give us our money back, they were rude and to them it's just all about the money, they don't care. This was supposed to be a resort for honeymooners etc, it was our wedding anniversary and was totally ruined by this resort

Hotel has great potential, nice location with pool etc.. But it seems to be poorly managed. Staff are not very interested, there is clutter everywhere and halfway through our stay they commenced major renovations so the pool became out of use and there was always drilling and sawwing.

This hotel is located north west of the island. Some website says it is only 8 minutes from Thongsala Pier. ACtually it is about 20 minutes drive and about 45 minutes from Haad Rin Beach. The room is clean and the view from my room is breath taking. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. This hotel is ideal for people who are looking for a quiet and relaxing place. You can't really swim on the beach in front of the hotel but you can crash other beach resorts that are located nearby. The pool is perfect. Overall I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much.

Staff and facilities are great. The beach was not so good (rocky stones).

Terrible hotel, beach pit front looks bad, swamp near half the rooms. Outer room as a family room up a hill 10-15 minutes impossible with kids. We left could not stay here

We didn't end up stsyng and lost our money. Hotel was in very poor condition. Is not at all a4 star maybe a 2. They placed us in a family room 10-15mins walk up a steep hill which we could not accept with 3 small children, there is also a green swap in front on reception and the water is full of rocks and unswimable in low tide. Really recommend against this place

We had a fantastic stay, the resort is lovely, the staff very friendly (service is sometimes a little slow, but always with a smile). Will certainly be coming back to Haad Salad and will definitely stay at Salad Buri.

Great place to stay if you want to relax. We did the full moon party but wanted to be away from it for the rest of the time and this place was perfect
