Heidl Guest House

We had a delightful stay at this extremely friendly and well run guest house. We were late down from playing golf at Castle Stuart and the proprietor Jackie was there to greet us and show us where to park. The room was very comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. Everything was spotless and we had a very quiet room. Breakfast was completely delicious and served very promptly. My husband left his credit card in our room and Jackie contacted us immediately and sent it on to us in England. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Comfortable two night stay in a family room at the back. Very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, and although our bathroom was across the hall, it was no problem. We actually appreciated the extra space, as the bedroom got rather cramped with 3 of us and our cases. There was a sink in the room too. Apart from tea, coffee and water, ear plugs were provided. The room was not noisy until early morning when the gulls started! However, the plugs helped. The room was hot with three of us, but we visited during a heatwave so that wasn’t strange - and there was a ventilator provided, as well as a heater for cold weather. Our host was very welcoming and went out of her way to suggest parking spots when the hotel parking was full. It’s not very big but apparently usually adequate. She also gave us a map with all the personally recommended restaurants. Breakfast had to be ordered in advance- nice choice of hot dishes, supplemented by buffet with fruit, yogurt, cereals etc.

Owners were extremely nice. Due to size, it is very personable and makes the experience a memorable one. The one thing is that I came during a heat wave and the small table fan worked, just not well enough. It was an outlier and minute, and didn't impact my opinion on the place or my stay.

Clean, comfortable room with en-suite. Very pleasant host. Great hot breakfast with options provided. Walking distance to local pubs.

Heidl Guest House is a B&B located at walking distance from Perth railway station. The B&B is family owned and managed and offers different rooms. Free Wi-Fi. The lady-owner is welcoming and friendly. Heidl B&B is popular and often booked. Refrain from booking-com, but call. We had room 2 at the first floor at street side and suffered from traffic noise. The following night we moved to room 1, a family room at the yard side. The B&B has a small lounge. At ground floor you find the breakfast room. The adequately furnished & decorated room had a so-so double bed, desk & chair, tea & coffee facility, wardrobe, and TV. Our separate bathroom had washbasin, shower and toilet. All was clean. A good Scottish breakfast is served with an acceptable variety: freshly made eggs, bacon & tomato, bread & toast, butter, yoghurt, juice, preserves, fruit, tea & coffee. We found Heidl Guest House relatively pricey, nonetheless we had a nice stay.

We loved the Heidl Guest House and our hosts! Jackie couldn’t have been nicer and helping us get around. It is very easy to see the center of town with a short walk from there but the area around it does not have much.

Excellent Guest House. 5 mins walk to the cities pubs and restaurants, parking, good sized rooms with comfy beds, large bathroom and decent shower. Add in the friendly hosts, a very decent breakfast and the price and it's an excellent option. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Heidl Guest House. The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast were great! It was well located, only a short walk to the city center.

Nice compact rooms. Inner city, you can walk to the shops...but, they can be hard to find. The host was wonderful and breakfast was good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jackie was a wonderful host offering information about the area. Breakfast couldn’t be faulted, all our needs were met and the accommodation was spotless. We’d happily return
