Arrived in scorching heat to a large, chilled, air-conditioned apartment. The outdoor pool is small but adequate for the guest numbers and very child friendly as it is only ~1.2 m at its deepest. Can be a little congested at times. Supermarkets and beach are only minutes away. Didn't bother with hotel breakfast - no need when the self-catering facilities are so good. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and bars on the beach front and the walk towards Marbella harbour. Plenty of pricy ones if you walk the other way towards to Puerto Banus! Marbella Old Town is a delight. The hotel caters for all types of guests, so be prepared for extended families, and boys and girls `on tour`. Consequently, can get rather noisy at night (or first thing in the morning on their return!). Any negatives from this review are unintentional. For the money, this hotel far exceeded our expectations and we would gladly return to it should we re-visit Marbella.
Don't count on getting any work done with the internet connection at the hotel, this is the reason for the lower score. The connection is pitiful, not even possible really to check email during my stay - let alone any other work or general surfing.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The bar has just reopened and looks great. Rooms bit out dated but great value for money.
First time staying, was a FS tactic location, 3 minute walk to beach and main Marbella strip. Palmyra is the new bar/restaurant just opened at the hotel which is very upmarket and nice for a drink. Hotel staff very nice, as well as good room sizes and facilities. Pool area clean and tidy and a nice mix of young and families. Would highly recommend.

16 of us stayed in Sultan Club for a hen do. The rooms were large, clean and very well equipped. Extra large balcony! The staff at reception were great and very helpful. 5 minutes from the beach and only €13 in a taxi to Puerto Banus, would definitely go back.
Upon arriving at the Hotel Sultan Club we were amazed and pleased at the size of our accommodation, we found it quiet and well placed for most of the amenities in the immediate Marbella area with a 10 minute walk into Orange Square. We would be more than happy to stay there again.
Great hotel with large apartments. We upgraded to a 2 bedroomed apartment which was spacious and well worth the extra money. Breakfast was poor. Little choice with the hot food. In hind sight I would have booked room only and used the self catering facilities or go to the nearby cafes for breakfast. The indoor pool was great, but remember to take a swimming cap or use your shower cap if you're just using the Jacuzzi. Overall a good hotel, friendly staff, good location but breakfast let it down.
we have stayed at the sultan before, always enjoyed visits, however this visit we we allocated a room which was not really good. alteratons have been completed from the built plan, but the result was not good. would not book the hotel again if we could not be sure that room 612 was on the agenda.
