Hotel Helvetia

Free breakfast was nice. Shower was very small and the shower head would not stay in position.

good stay and would recomment anyone travelling to Zermatt.

I guess the hotel was okay for the price. The challenge was going up the stairs with our heavy luggage. The triple room had only two double beds together. The shower room was so small I kept banging my arm while soaping. Positive side is that it’s where all the shops are located & walking distance to view the Matterhorn.

The hotel is quite run down and needs updates. The room for 3 adults was small, but we managed. The shower was not very good.

The owner was kind and accommodating.

The location was ideal. Breakfast being included. The stairs were narrow and many. Not recommended for ederly. Sharing a balcony with neighbouring room. Very basic room.

No real front desk. The first interaction was from someone in the restaurant “what’s your name take your key “ Room was on the 4th floor no elevator and no one offered to help. The room was barely big enough for the bed. We needed an adapter but there was no one to help. We asked at a pharmacy and they helped us. When we told them where we were staying they said “Oh, that’s not a hotel “. We agree

If you want to sleep at night do not stay here. The hotel is rated as a 3 star, but I would give it a 1 star. It’s located above a noisy bar that is loud at night and has no sound proofing. I would not recommend this hotel

Great location, the room was a little bit small but we were out most of the time. r I should add on the street people were singing and laughing late into the night. It woke us up and the kids had a little bit of hard time sleeping.

Excellent location in the city center. Next to the church and the famous Hotel Monte Rosa. With a view of Matterhorn. However, the hotel is a very old wood building with very small rooms, no elevator, no English TV channel and poor WiFi.
