Casa del Rio Melaka

​We enjoyed our 4 nights in room 107 (Studio River King​, King bed + sofa bed). ​The hotel has a great location​ and we enjoyed sitting out on our room's balcony with the fan going, enjoying the view along and across the river. ​Our room was of a good size and comfortable. The bathroom had 2 doors, one to the long room hallway and the other to the dressing area just inside the room's entry. The shower had ample hot water. The bed was comfortable. There was a small ​complimentary mini bar​ and a nespresso machine. We appreciated a fan in the room and used that a lot, as well as the a/c. ​O​ne night (maybe part of the turndown service, we weren't sure why it was only 1 night?) the hotel lit an oil burner in the room and the candle on the balcony which made for a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast ​was really enjoyable out on ​the hotel's terrace, ​with great mix of options including quite a few local items that changed daily and good service. ​The hotel surrounds are very pretty. The view from the rooftop pool terrace was fab, we could see out to the Straits of Malacca. ​Our stay was over Christmas and the hotel had a few Christmas dining options organised, had decorated the lobby and delivered a small Christmas treat to the room on Christmas eve which was all very nice. After dinner on Christmas Day we went back to the hotel for a lovely lychee martini by the river in their cafe bar. ​The hotel organised a good dependable transfer from our KL hotel to Malacca and then back to KL airport. We also booked an evening river cruise via the hotel, which was nice because we were collected from the hotel's own pier. ​The location is great. It is an easy ​(hot and sweaty) walk to ​t​he old historic centre to a multitude of cafes, restaurants, shops to try Peranakan food and visit the Jonker St night market etc. Being just out of the old historical centre meant it was easy to come and go by car (we used Grab a little to get to some sites out of the centre). ​T​he amount of people (including buskers) out by the river meant it could be a little noisy late at night but with the doors shut the noise was manageable. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this to friends for a great base from which to explore Malacca.

From arriving at the hotel Nabil showed genuine interest in making our stay perfect. Najna and all the restaurant staff were also very impressive. Every single staff member made us welcomed throughout our stay. The hotel restaurant meals were excellent. The lunch buffet was nothing short but incredible. The hotel is positioned right on the river, so walking distance to all the important world heritage sites, restaurants and street night life. The people of Melaka were incredibly friendly. Most if not all the important world heritage buildings and sites were free to visit. We would definitely recommend everyone to visit Melaka and enjoy the history including staying at an incredible hotel Casa del Rio Melaka.

We recently held a company meeting and stayed at this hotel. From the planning stage to the actual event, the staff was professional, responsive, and incredibly supportive. The team provided excellent service throughout the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and efficiently. The warm hospitality made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, and the service was consistently excellent. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel for corporate meetings and stays.

The location of Casa hotel is great! It is just a few steps away from Jonka street with many different cafes/restaurants/cultural little shops in the lanes around it and it is also very near the Dutch Square and the malacca river where all the boat rides start. However , our King room was facing the road ( exterior side ) where all the loud noise came from even after midnight on both Sat & Sun nights. The loud noise came from those tricycles passing by really made us difficult to get a good sleep .

Location is super strategic, at the very heart of tourist spots in Malacca, with one in a kind river view too! The vibes around the place is mediterranean-like. Very picturesque. The central garden with fountains, and its gazebos are superb spot for family pictures. We stayed at room with river view, the balcony is a perfect place to wind down in the evening after strolling in the city. A staff even came in to light the candle of oil burners in the room. The scents of their essential oil is great too! And my god the bath tub is spacious, perfect place to drop the bath bomb and just relax while watching TV. Breakfast is simply the best we've had at a hotel for quite some time. Star of the show is its eggs and toast (we had egg benedicts and grilled cheese) those are so damn good. Infinity pool is perfect for swimming in the morning. Super clean facilities as well. And we enjoyed the library so much! Definitely will come again soon.

Very impressive building beside the river. I love the room! Big and well maintained, very beautifully done decor and with well-furnished balcony. The whole hotel is majestic and beautiful. Christmas decor at the hotel lobby is truly impressive and beautify looking fire place. Very nice! Next to the river and to Joker street, very conveniently located. Walking distance to the Fort and Red Clock Tower. This will be my hotel for all my Malacca Trips in further.
