Laburnum Cottage Guest House

Owners were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed and on hand for transport advice etc. Breakfast was really good and when a couple from our party didn’t manage to make breakfast they provided take out bacon sandwiches.

Very easy to find and extremely friendly people

A busy main road and on the Manchester flight path as well but at the front we didn't hear a thing with the excellent double glazed windows and slept like logs in the really comfy beds. The whole place was fresh and clean and Karen and Karl were both wonderful relaxed hosts. Very near two brilliant pubs which were recommended.

The twin room was a little tight on room but perfectly adequate. The road is busy and care is needed during the day time especially.

The most fabulous of hosts, thank you Karen and Karl. Communication was great, I was going to arrive early due to the distance travelled to go to a local festival and my room was ready before the official check in time. On arrival, I was greeted by Karen, who checked me in and gave me some fresh milk for my room and took my case to my room. There was a good selection of drinks in the room, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and top-ups on the landing should you need any. The room (#3) was very clean and comfortable. Shower was good, always hot water available. I didn't use the hair dryer, but one was available, together with a fan, a hot water bottle and a clock. The free Wi-Fi connection was good, so I brought my tablet to watch my programmes on. Local information was provided in the guest pack. Nothing was too much trouble for them; they were very friendly and helpful. Mobberley is approximately a 10-minute walk from a local chippy and a Co-op, which features a cashpoint. Knutsford is a short drive away. They offer a part of the garden to guests where there's seating over the little bridge, which is lovely in the sunshine. The breakfast was great, a selection of cereals/yoghurts together with a full English, and there's also an option to have fresh fruit too. I left early one morning, and there was the continental breakfast selection available in the fridge. The guesthouse is located near a flight path, but that doesn't disturb sleep at all. Thank you both for a wonderful stay, I'll definitely stay again if I need to be in that area again. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was lovely, our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, our hosts so friendly and helpful; felt very comfortable and welcome. There is also on site parking

Karen was so friendly. Our room was beautiful. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Beds supper comfy and had a great sleep both nights.
