62 Castle Street Hotel

I loved how attentive they were to my wishes and how they made the room look for our anniversary.

The housekeepers opened the door in the morning without knocking, it was 10 am and we were still in bed but I wasn't sure whether it was check out time, when I asked they just said no it's 11 and sat outside on the floor waiting. It was a bit surprising.

The hotel was very central only being 4 mins walk to Liverpool One and 4 mins walk to attractions such as The Cavern Club. Lots of eateries and bars on same street.

Our suite was lovely. Fully equipped, clean, spacious. Beautiful hotel. Would stay here again.

The only downside was the parking was an 8 min walk away which was a pain. Oh, and the AC was not fully installed yet.

Don't go anywhere else ! For £125 its a huge room, great views, right in the heart of the main area, breakfast in bed and a bed so comfirtable ypu might not make it anywhere.

The location - so close to everything we wanted to do.

The breakfast and the temperature in the building . Ordered continental breakfast but got cooked - grumpy waiter told us we would just have to have that as it takes 25 mins to prepare a continental breakfast !!! Breakfast was very very greasy so couldn’t eat it . Building was hot - really noisy overnight as we had to have the windows open…

Lage, Lage, Lage! Sowohl vom Bahnhof gut und einfach fußläufig erreichbar als auch zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und in die Innenstadt. Bushaltestelle gleich um die Ecke und jede Menge Restaurants direkt in der Castle Street. Das Hotel an sich ist eigentlich recht nett - altes Gebäude, aber gut und modern ausgestattete Zimmer. Und angesichts der räumlichen Voraussetzungen (s.u.) war das Frühstück dann doch recht ok - Hut ab, wie man unter solch' Bedingungen "kochen" kann.

Eine Lüftung im fensterlosen Badezimmer wäre prima. Der Concierge war professionell-sachlich... freundlich wäre übertrieben! Das Hotel verfügt (momentan?) weder über einen Frühstücksraum noch über eine Küche. Zubereitet wurde in einem ca. 1,5x1,5m großen Raum, serviert in der Hotelbar oder auf dem Zimmer. Bei Ausfall des Küchenchefs wurde das Frühstück ca. 15 min vorher per SMS gecancelt - auf die Rückerstattung des anteiligen Preises warten wir auch einen Monat später noch. (Tipp: Bei "Ezra&Gil" auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite war das Frühstück top! ;-))

Breakfast disappointing, had to order everything night before and cooked option appeared dried out as if cooked several hours earlier and reheated. Basin in bathroom barely drained.

Beautiful room good location friendly staff my only complaint was the noise from renovations early morning.
