"Comfortable hotel"

I had a large comfortable room on the first floor. Room was a bit chilly as a window hade been left open and it wasn't easy to close. Breakfast was freshly cooked, always a good thing, and didn't disappoint.

"Extremely friendly and helpful staff"

Arrived late and left before breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had my dog with me and they gave him water and a biscuit as soon as he arrived.

"Great stay, ideal for rugby, staff friendly"

We went for a weekend to watch the rugby (ideal location) and visit Edinburgh, the hotel is great for the rugby and the staff were really friendly and assisted us. I would stay again. Easy enough to either walk, bus or taxi into Edinburgh centre.

"Lovely place, staff and location."

We booked here last minute, absolutely lovely and the room was stunning. Everything was great and after a long drive from Nottingham to Edinburgh it was absolutely the best place to end the day.

"Friendly service"

Price was perfect for this good location and great level of service offered. Great food & staff from the restaurant at dinner... Not so good breakfast though. Remarkable feature is the bar. As for the room, recently renovated, seemed a bit small but not a factor since the King size bed made up for it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Edinburgh for fair price. Family friendly hotel which is a big plus.

"Nice hotel close to the city centre"

Very happy with this stay. Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Food was lovely and very close to the city centre. Bus stop outside the door and number 26 &31 every 5-10 mins. On route to and from airport on the 100 bus. Cheap travel £3.50 for an all day ticket.

We booked the Hampton Hotel to be close to EDI for our flight the following day. It was the perfect location, with bus service to the airport a short walk away. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The location was close enough to the city center that getting there by bus was easy, but far enough away as to afford a bit of quiet during the middle of Fringe. I would stay here again.
