Very good, staff very friendly good food , clean and tidy .......rooms

Phenomenal

Fabulous little hotel for a weekend away exploring Edinburgh. Tidy rooms, nice staff and a cooked breakfast. All for a cheaper price per person than other more mainstream hotels with screaming kids and whatnot. The bathroom may have been a bit meh, but I would definitely stay again and reccomend to a friend :)

The Hampton Hotel was perfect for our one night stay before heading to the airport and back to the States. The hotel was lovely, the staff was extremely helpful and professional, and the restaurant was delicious. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to help us with our luggage, make arrangements for our meals and contacted a taxi for our early morning departure. Our room was classic in style with a tastefully updated bathroom. It was a great stay in every way!

Used this facility only as an overnight prior to very early flight. Met in the lobby by Vicky who was the most gracious, helpful hotel employee I have ever met. She checked us in, worked on getting boarding passes printed, hauled two 40+ pound suitcases upstairs for us (in one trip), took dinner reservations, gave advise on time to arrive at airport, arranged for a taxi for 0345, and told us good-bye when she departed for the evening. Hotel is really small; but rooms was spacious. Had a pub and a separate dining room. Several locals eating during our stay. Breakfast available (but we left a little too early for that); no elevator; no problem as only one flight. Hotel is locked after 2300 so we unlocked, relocked, and put key in mail slot in a.m. Has a little patio with chairs out back for patrons; quiet street with several other hotels in area. On main bus line to city center; but only eleven pounds to airport by taxi.

One night stop to attend Tattoo. Location good with busses to town centre right outside door. Quiet, good location. Breakfast abso totes brill!

Was excellent, staff was very helpful and the food was very good.

Night stop after a very long flight before driving home. We've stayed there before and will stay again. Too tired this time to take advantage of the excellent ales. Lovely breakfast as usual.

The hotel is not as highly rated as its neighbour, but I found it friendlier and the bar more fun. The staff were very helpful, the room large with good en suite shower room. An excellent breakfast attentively served.
