The Station Hotel is a lovely old hotel, with it's own parking. It is in a good position to visit the attractions in the area or for a short stroll into town for the shops, many eateries, wine bars & pubs. David the owner was very pleasant & helpful & the room was very nice, comfortably furnished in keeping with the building, clean & well serviced. The breakfast selection was good & the cooked breakfast excellent. We enjoyed our two night stay & although the hotel is on a junction & close to town, it was very peaceful & quiet & we all slept well. If you are looking for something away from the larger chains of hotels, you will not go far wrong with The Station Hotel.

Stayed for my fiancée's birthday as we were going to Alton Towers. Prefect location and the hotel was even better than we expected. The owner was amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The local restaurant he recommended for us was amazing. Thanks for making my fiancée's birthday so special. We will defiantly be back again.

The hotel is a grand old Victorian building, nice big spacious room with the most enormous four poster bed. It was very comfortable. A lovely en suite bathroom with a large cast iron bath. The staff were really nice and the breakfast was first rate.

Nice welcome. Room was not as good as lead to believe by website so a little disappointed.No bar or dining facilities except breakfast which was very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
