Last minute stay over due to snow and couldn`t have been looked after any better. Very good service, lovely room, excellent breakfast and great location in Ashbourne. Would stay again.
Myself and partner stayed here for walking weekend around Dovedale. The hotel was a bit dated but comfortable. Only a few minutes from the market place with enough good bars and eating places. Staff in the hotel were nice and we were served a really good english breakfast both mornings. No complaints at all......we had an excellent weekend.

My stay was nice and quiet. Had a very good sleep .Size of the room was huge and so bathroom, clean and spacious. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice hotel and room. Dave the manager is a great bloke coudnt do enough to make your stay good stayed for two nights couldnt have been better (they dont do evening meals ) plenty pubs and resturants in town to get some thing to eat if you req all with in a few mintes from the station hotel .
Well positioned for both Ashbourne and visits to other areas within the Peak District. I find the hotel a really pleasant experience with David such an easy man to talk to and the additional benefit of being able to get a drink during the afternoon! Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is well cooked and not heavy; plenty of fruit to choose from as well. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Old fashioned decor, but in perfect order, which suits the building. David, the owner is very friendly and chatty, giving lots of local information. The breakfast is excellent, didn't need lunch! Didn't see any four poster beds (as advertised on the website), but then again, I didn't see all the rooms. It looked like some rooms had been redecorated and brought more up to date; my room hadn't, but it was perfectly comfortable. I will definitely stay there again and probably bring some friends next time.
