Nice clean room, easy check in, dinner was good value for money and good standard, breakfast was decent

The room was clean and comfortable

After initial greeting by receptionist asking my name,booking reference, she asked me to double tap. After questioning why I’ve paid again She apologise explaining she had taken wrong name, & I would get a refund by Monday well it’s Wednesday & still no refund.

Beautiful grounds

There were no lifts working

Cannot fault any of the staff. Each and every one were superb. But the hotel itself is in pretty poor condition and clearly the owners have decided not to upkeep for some time. For a 4 star hotel (with 4 star prices) the quality is so low it should be downgraded.

The location was perfect for Tilbury docks.

The main bar wasn’t very nice. Very basic with uncomfortable seating.

I enjoyed the most relaxing full body massage by a lovely lady who most certainly knows her way around tired muscles.
