Corbie Geel

The hotel is located on the Market Square with parking from another street. The rooms are quite large with good bathrooms, large balconies and flatscreen TVs with british TV. A PC with internet access is provided in the room plus free wired internet. Noise does travel a bit between apartments. The breakfast is excellent - better than most hotels I have been in - and the lady at reception was very helpful and efficient. There is no room service, bar or restaurant but there are plenty of local restaurants around the square.

The hotel turned out to apartment style and so alot of coming and going. The rooms not very soundproofed and noise travelled easily across the walls

I stayed one night in the Corbie Geel and was positively surprised by the room and the hotel in general (especially since I didn't pay a lot of money for). The hotel has a parking garage on the ground floor, reception and rooms are on the first and second floor, respectively. Simple drive into the garage (access via Kollegestraat), take the parking ticket with you and show it to the receptionist - they pay the parking fee. The parking garage makes it also comfortable to get your luggage from your car to the room. The room itself was quite huge, everything clean, and had a small balcony. It also contained a minibar, which is included in the room rate. Internet connection via ethernet was no problem and fast. Breakfast was excellent. Another tip: The restaurant next to the Corbie Geel on the market square gives a disount for those staying at the hotel. All in all the Corbie Geel was definitely worth its money. The only drawback of the Corbie Geel are the not soundproof rooms. Better take some earplugs with you.
