Property location is very good. Gardens very well maintained. Breakfast was very good. Staff behaviour is polite

We stayed in privileged suite 1809. Its one of the highest paid rooms in the hotel. Very poorly maintained. Curtains were very flimsy. Did not insulate against cold. Very frequent power trips especially in the morning. Response time of housekeeping and in room dining is very long. You have to keep calling multiple times. In room dining menus for lunch and dinner is very limited. The food was too spicy and not upto the mark. Only breakfast spread was good. Its not value for money

Good location

Like many others, I was impressed by the other reviews and made a booking. For the price it costed, I would have expected a 4-5 star service but it was a sheer disappointment. I’ve mentioned few of the reasons below 1. Lack of even a basic item like water kettle in the room. I had to chase and follow up till night 10 PM to get a water kettle. We drank cold water till then. 2. Staff had no clue on where events were happening. Had to ask few people to know where discovery centre was where some indoor and outdoor games were available. Bonfire and music event my family missed as staff gave us an incorrect info regarding the location of the event. There is a board near reception where event details are written but to be honest that’s too overwhelming and individuals do need help from hotel staff which was missing. 3. Dinner buffet had a number of varieties but nothing that you can remember and cherish as taste wasn’t great. I was unable to name 2-3 items that I would remember and cherish the taste. In a place like ooty when you serve buffet, default should be to serve customers with hot water. Even smaller restaurants in ooty do this as they understand the conditions are cold. Here we had to explicit ask for hot water every time during the buffet dinner. Hot or warm water must be the default and customers who need room temperature can always ask or with that temperature even warm water would get to room temperature soon. 4. We were 8 members and welcome drink was not offered to us. We were told we can come to restaurant to avail complimentary coffee and snacks. We did go and waited 30+ mins to be served coffee/tea for us. The person who was making coffee/tea was overwhelmed and couldn’t manage the preparation on time.

Options were limited, with a small seating area for a large crowd. Would recommend appointing more staff, as they weren't able to keep up with the guests. Cleaning of tables was being delayed; hot-dishes order preparation was taking 20-25 minutes during the breakfast buffet.

The rooms were not quite clean. There was a big table blocking the closet. Even the hot water in the bathroom was limited to 30 liters, which is just maddening in winter. The standards of hotels during peak season are so low. The hotel is quite remote, so if you don't have your own vehicle, it will cause issues to go around places.

Staff appeared very courteous. Infrastructure like Parking was great

The food and services were good,, and received by Anusmita, who guided us overall procedures and stay related queries were explained perfectly, overall is was an very good experience staying here.
