Second stay we’ve had at the Cliftonville and looking forward to going back again already. All aspects of the stay were great. Took my elderly parents who both have access needs, which were catered to perfectly by the staff. The staff were so friendly, it really came across that they all worked well as team to make the whole place run like clockwork. The hotel was always buzzing with something going, community activities to meetings or just locals popping in for a coffee. The Cliftonville is a wonderful historic building with loads of charm, beautiful interior, great restaurant, and lovely staff. We even entered their monthly pub quiz …. and won 🥇.

The history was fascinating and I loved the stained glass.

We recently joined friends and family for the wake for an elderly relative. Firstly, we were disappointed that coffee and tea was left for us to pour ourselves, no sign of a member of staff. When we went to collect food from the buffet, one of the family has to have gluten free food. The only items on offer for him were chips and some cauliflower mix. The woman who appeared, said they hadn't been told this was required. However, how difficult could it have ben to find something in the kitchen that was suitable? Do they never have diners with the same problems? Considering the distance this person and his wife had had to travel that day, there certainly wasn't any sympathy & she wouldn't put herself out. Certainly no gold stars for her for customer satisfaction. Certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.
