"Simply amazing!"

I don’t even know where to start. This traditional style hotel was an amazing experience from the start to finish. We got there early so they held our bags while we walked around. When we came back our bags were in our room and they brought us a cookie and tea for a snack. We left for dinner and when we came back our beds were setup. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and on time. The staff was so incredibly nice and considerate. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Walking through the door was like stepping back in time to a former Japan. Impreccable service and a warm welcome, was followed by a sublime dinner service and a charming onsen visit. A great nights sleep in an oasis of calm. I would happily return!

What a fantastic experience to stay in a traditional Japanese house it felt like I’d been transported back to the 1800’s albeit with modern conveniences in the room. Great staff and we thoroughly enjoyed the onsen.

We felt well taken care of and valued. Food was delicious and plentiful. Everything was perfect although there was some road traffic noise, but that can't be helped.

Our stay at Seikoro was absolutely incredible. Rooms are super nice and cozy. Extremely friendly staff. Hiro was the perfect host. Highly recommend this ryokan when staying in Kyoto. We are definitely coming back!

"Great Ryokan!"

Family of 5. Stayed here for 3 nights. Service was amazing. Great amenities. This was our first time staying at a Ryokan and it really exceeded our expectations. Would be back for sure.

Stayed for 4 nights on holiday with late teenage family . The ryokan was superb. Traditional Japanese experience with a super kind attentive atmosphere from a family run business . It may not be for everyone but we loved it !

What a fun stay. The staff and in particular our room attendant Hiro were fantastic. The arrival and departure rituals were so much fun for my son, with often five or more staff members greeting us or waving goodbye each time we arrived or left. The room was nice, futons a little bit hard and I am just not used to sitting on the ground and getting up from the floor every time. All in all, a great experience and I wouldn't change the experience for something different.
